Dancers don't have a physique so much as a certain way of carrying themselves. How they walk and move. You can always pick a dancer/gymnast.

Here's a radical thought: If you aren't content just being friends with her, tell her.

Worst case scenario she cuts you off, saving you bulk time angsting about not getting your bone on with her. Yeah you'd lose a friend, but if that's at all a concern then you wouldn't be complaining about being in the "friend zone" in the first place.

Yeah, I understand. It's just the friend zone is too frequently used as a bullshit excuse for "I don't have the social confidence to put my feelings on the line, most likely because I don't actually know this person but I've developed a deep one-sided attachment to them and fear losing the hope of some day realising it so instead I pretend to be a friend when really I am just harboring quiet resentment for the other person (and especially anyone they date) whilst acting like a victim-slash-cool dude on the internet". I have had feelings for friends, I'm pretty sure everyone does at some point, it's just much healthier to sort out the whole "are you keen? no? ok, still cool that I was?" bit at the start. You can always feel that yeah, you'd have a shot at it if that answer changed, so long as you aren't a worse (or fake) friend for it. Honesty is the best policy etc.

I *guess* I also feel that the term "friend zone" implies malice, which in turn implies right to relationships as currency, which I think is awful :P
