People should go meet players, have a beer with them and find out how football and football careers actually work. That would make AF a far more informed and logical place to discuss football news. Can't all be Bowdens who go round stalking players etc. -PB

WGMG: Found out today that one of the high schools in my area has stopped teaching evolution regarding humans (they only talk about animals) cos so many of the students and their parents (mostly muslim) have complained.
I have nothing against reasonable religious people, but seriously guys, i thought we'd moved on from the dark ages...

What Really Grinds My Gears: bars with shit rules. Went to my local tonight (as I do every Friday). However tonight I Donned a beanie. Upon entry I was asked to take it off to go inside.. No worries, I took it off. Straight away I walk inside and see a girl wearing a pink beanie... Then I go upstairs and outside to the open air bar, where I put my beanie back on. I then go to the bar, where two bar staff are wearing headwear, including a hat and a beanie (male and female). Aft being served a security guard asks me to take my beanie off again. I politely accepted his invitation, because I'm not one to answer back, but the double standards just infuriated me.
If you want to have a shred of credibility and show a glimmer of professionalism, then have your bar staff set the standard for dress code, or fuck off.

I thought you were on first name terms with the security at your local? Place can't be as lax as the Unity, but. My work I've seen all sorts of crazy shit.

The tollgate wouldn't give a shut if a turned up wearing nothing but a fourseasons ribbed condom. Hillside is the place I went to last night, and it just pissed me off.
