Right, last warning or your'll be gone...  Wasn't aimed at you stiffy. Was simply laughing at the fact that someone got banned for posting a picture of a pony.... All is well. He knew the next person to post a picture would be banned. He can't really complain. Whilst this is true... The maturity level and spoilt brat behaviour displayed by a certain mod was enough to make a Nazi pedophile sick. Tbf, it's hardly mature to be posting ponies in the first place. They aren't even funny. Totally agree, but I'm not concerned with Heine's maturity, I'm well aware of his maturity levels  The response however was filth. I'm just going to leave this here :-$ Quote:Eastern Glory wrote:Seriously? It's a free, moderated football forum with a set of rules. it is not here explicitly for your use, deal with it.
Some people around he have ridiculously major issues with authority. =d> =d> =d> it seems to me easternglory cant hack it if it is his mates that get banned .. Good effort  But as i said... it has a set of rules and Heine didn't break them. That said, my issue is more with the pathetic response as opposed to the shambolic moderating by the mod in question. Fuck you, mods are kings amongst men. They were right to ban Heineken (for whatever reason it was)

I personally found imno's edit to be less puerile than heineken's original post any way.

WGMG: Saw a family of four come into work, sitting at the table waiting for their food the teenage daughter (16/17 yo) she had her headphones in listening to music and was on her phone...
If I did that with my folks they'd obliterate my phone on the spot

WGMG: They've cut back shifts at work. And because I was away I've drawn the short straw. One shift a week. Gone from 40+ hours a week to 8. Yeah, because that'll pay the bills.

Wow, that sucks. What are you going to do, is there any jobs going at the moment you can move to? Whoever is away at my work always draws the short straw with everything too. I'm a big fan of having the day off on your bday, I hate working on my bday. But last year we were getting our office re-arranged and it was planned for my bday, and I knew that if I wasn't there I would get the shit seat(s). So I rocked up anyway, shotgunned one of the good seats, and the people that weren't there have such shitty seats now

I have the day off on my bday because I'm too hungover to get out of bed. I haven't had a holiday in over 2 years, so I take a week off and come back to this shit. Pretty miffed.
I finally get a response out of my boss and it was unsatisfactory to say the least. "Good job last night champ, shifts will pick up again in a few weeks". Oh, well I just won't worry about paying rent until then shall I?

Yeah, it has. But I'm either unqualified, which would mean convincing myself to go back to university which I'm not comfortable with, or working in a job I'm not as good at and which I don't like as much.
My biggest problem is that I can't do desk jobs. They literally drive me crazy.

I have a history of... "problems with authority"
EDIT: Also, being required to serve on weekends isn't conducive to getting my 'real' job back on track again when I work weekends there.

WGMG: The rigmarole involved in applying for jobs - spent a solid half hour typing about my experiences in different jobs. Not to mention that you don't hear back from 90% of the jobs you apply for.

As a guy who has to sort through some horrible resumes, am hoping you personalise your cover letter, say why you're in love with the industry and apply for jobs you're actually qualified to do. If you're doing that then ouch I feel for you :-(

It's incredibly frustrating typing up a unique cover letter for each and every application knowing that it's probably just going in the bin.

It's also frustrating when depending on the person/company you get different advice on whether or not to personalise it. Some see it as irrelevant bullshit, others see it as essential.

I've found so many bars won't give you an interview without a cover letter, resume and attached personal photo.

Its a fair point that im talking from a deskjob/specialised industry point of view. Its always nice to read that someone has actually taken the time to say "hey I read the ad and want the job" to build some sort of rapport rather than just blindly handing in a resume that looks exactly like everyone elses.
In 5 days we received 110 applications for 1 job so anyway to get ahead (call them, meet them in person, helps if youre a regular) I say do it. People like getting their egos stroked
Bar jobs may be a different thing

If you're doing that then ouch I feel for you :-( These aren't any kind of specialised jobs - they are just casual jobs to get me some money through uni. Previous to this I was working in sales. Now I'm looking for similar work again either that or a coffee shop of some sort. I have ample experience and qualifications in both fields but I have a feeling that the application ends up getting buried most of the time amongst the many others that apply. Oh well - If I apply for enough jobs surely one will come through right? [-o< [-o<
