I hate this so much. Especially if you've made the effort to get there for 9.30

Always aim to be 15 minutes early. That way even if something goes wrong you're still only 'fashionably late'.

The mrs & I hate tardiness aswell. We always aim to be at places 15mins before schedule.

A good mate of mine claims he hates tardiness also, but is always fxxxing late to everything. And it's worse now he has a kid. So if we want to be somewhere with them at a particular time, we legit tell them half an hour before we actually want. And they're always between 15-45 mins late, so it works out fine.

WGMG: The bloody bus services around Brisbane. The prices are akin to highway robbery and the service is lousy. Today I got to my bus stop 10 odd minutes before the bus was meant to arrive and I know for a fact that it hadn't already gone past. I waited 25 minutes only for it not to show up. I wouldn't be so pissed if it didn't happen so often. GG Translink.

Public Transport is such a killer in Brisbane. Im spending roughly $30 a week on public transport and i am a student. It doesnt even add up. A lot of my friends are quite lucky. Their companies have provided carpark for them so they have stopped taking public transport and have started driving to the city from the southside.

This one gets me angry a lot. Especially when you trying to organise something and you tell people to meet at a certain time. There are always people in our group who will pitch up at eg... Meet at 7:00, they arrive at 8:00. It happens all the time and it pisses me off.

We have one of our bosses who has a bad habit of being 2 hours later than whatever he tells us. It used to be infuriating but now that it's pretty much expected it's not an issue  I still have to get a couple of clocks and put them in the office labelled "Melbourne Time", "London Time" and "Boss Time".

WGMG: (Warning, this is a petty problem) Hanging out with some mates tomorrow night who are all good blokes, but some of them are a little on the nerdy side. Not really socially awkward, but just a little 'behind' in social interactions  One of them (probably my best mate in the group) absolutely fiends the old 'high five'... And it's awkward as hell.
He's a relatively unattractive bloke, but he loves trying to get ladies, and whenever I'm trying to give him a hand, he always tries to high five me at some point in front of them, and I just die inside, because I know his chances of getting laid, just hit zero

It was for a news article on gun control in WA. Luckily the guy rang me back and gave me some good quotes in the end.

Because they get paid a fraction of what the players do for the toughest job in the game.

bollocks, the referees of the league are of a pretty damn good standard. The referee panels, not the fans and commentators who wouldn't know the laws of the game if it slapped it in the face decide how well they do their jobs.

little bit. Point it's not some knee jerk 'sack 'im' culture. If a referee cocks up, if he/she has a good, consistent record they might get lower profile games, if they are middle lower range, then they'll be dropped from the A-league for a while. It ain't sacking, that isn't how it works.

Similarly, I can't claim because one player is shite, the whole team is shite, or indeed the whole league is shite. Or that one bad performance consititues the entire profession being shite.

Anyway, the poor standard of refereeing was evident last season and looks to be continuing down that path.

They perform poorly but you have to remember they're only semi-professionals. The FFA needs to set up a proper Referees Association and make sure there are actual full time professional referees running the league and that they're actually accountable for their performances instead of this comedy of errors we see at the moment.

How can the FFA expect the league to be taken seriously when the referees aren't held to the same standard as the players? The referees should be professional as well. The more they work and train the better they know the rules, the less mistakes we'll see and the less negative publicity the sport gets from outraged fans being turned off.

WGMG: The Research Project.

A year 12 subject that you can choose to do in year 11 if you wish. But it's completely pointless. You pick your own sort of question, on anything you want. Then you research the absolute sh*t out of it. This includes 10 or more pages of notes and what not, followed by another 3000/4000 words. Sure, it may teach you how to research. But if you are in year 11 or year 12 and you don't know how to already research well, you may as well not even be there.
I know it's a compulsory subject in SA, but i've heard there's other states that don't need to do it.

/end rant.

It's an optional subject in years 11 and 12 in Victoria, but nobody goes for it.

WGMG: losing both games of six-a-side this morning. Was rubbish as we should have won both :(
Scored one, but missed a 1v1.

Now to do an assignment all day...
