I'm probably one of the few who honestly couldn't give a rats arse about the day, let alone the race. Mind you, I'm at Uni. If I can be bothered I might wander down to The Mill and watch it. :lol:

I really don't care much about racing but I do watch the Melbourne Cup if I can, just for the sake of it really. No special plans.

However, it really should be a public holiday. Half the businesses close for it the nation pretty much stops working from 11am onwards anyway, so might as well.

You whining pricks could just move to Melbourne :lol:

Or our politicians could just make sensible decisions.............

Why should an event hold only in Melbourne mean the rest of the country has a public holiday?

I don't care for the State of Selection NRL matches each year, so I watch the Melbourne Cup to keep up my Straya-ness
