Wasn't a comment was a video . The comments were hilarious but some were low.

Either a) Really obvious troll, or b) someone so stupid you're better off having not interacted with them in the first place.

Yeah it nearly is, problem is I still have 10 days to go, 4 exams left. Some other people I know have finished, or are close to finishing. I still have a mountain of stuff to get through. But you're right, very much looking forward to the months ahead :d

WGMG: 20-21 year olds. We had a 21st birthday party function last night. 180 pax. The parents put down a $4000 bar tab on which the kids could get tap beer, cider and red/white/sparkling wine and all I heard for the first 3 hours of the function was kids complaining about the choices. Fuck me, it's free alcohol you spoiled brat. Don't fucking drink it for all I care. It was amazing how quickly they went from complaining about the drink choices to drinking water after the tab was all spent and they had to pay for their own drinks.
And then on top of that rather than throwing food in the bin many of them would just throw the scraps on the ground and let it get trampled into the carpet.
What is wrong with kids these days?!

I'm in that bracket and have been to dozens of bar hosted 21sts over the last 12 months, and have literally seen nothing even close to what you've described. The amount of students who are going to complain or turn down free piss is an overwhelmingly massive minority but nice tarring nonetheless.

The amount of students who are going to complain or turn down free piss is an overwhelmingly massive minority but nice tarring nonetheless. I've done a few 18th and 21st birthday functions over the years and the number of kids complaining about free alcohol is perplexing to say the least. But it's worth remembering that if the kids are coming from a family that can afford to drop (in this case) $7-8k on a kid's birthday party they're probably not exactly poor and their friends are probably in the same boat so it's not like we're talking about broke-ass uni students, which I'm guessing is the majority of your experiences? My favourite part of the night was when we ran out of Moscato, a girl comes up to order 4 of them and gets told we're sold out. She gets this confused look on her face and goes "where did it all go?" The entire bar has looked at her with an expression torn between mild amusement and "are you fucking serious?"

Not really, a fair chunk of what I'm talking about are hosted by people I lived with at uni with the majority coming from very wealthy families, but taste buds get desensitized very quickly in those conditions and so does pretentiousness. Sounds like you just had a bunch of brats who don't like to drink. Edited by fredsta: 10/11/2013 08:19:44 PM

WGMG: Class enrollment for uni next year. I only seem to have 4 units left, when i thought I was meant to have 5. And I'm unsure of which ones to do. There are 5 units I'm interested in doing. Thinking of missing Advanced Broadcast Journalism because I didn't enjoy it as much as print, but I'm not sure whether you are required to do it, and the people from uni haven't got back to me about it. Also, there's a music writing unit I really want to do, but it doesn't show up in the timetable for some reason.

Always stay right to the end of the credits in a Marvel movie now.

Afternoons tend to rev me up though, no need for coffee then!

Caffeine has a half life of 3-4 hours. So if you're consuming 6 cups of coffee in 5 hours you've got around 1000mg of caffeine pumping around your system by lunchtime. 500-700mg/day is enough to induce anxiety, nervousness, hypertension and insomnia.

Also to add to that list is adrenal fatigue which is something very hard to overcome. Over stimulation of the adrenals for a prolonged time can cause serious damage. Easy to fix if you can handle decaf, add that into the mix.
