Did you ask for a generic 'rum & dry', or did you specifically ask for a 'SJ & dry'? the former, although that bar has given me the latter everytime. Yeah. If a patron walked up to me and asked for 'rum & dry', I'd automatically reach for Bundy in the speed rack. Only if the patron asked specificaly for SJ or another rum, or bothered to inquire as to what other rums we sold, would I go and offer SJ or something else. Rum and Gin are your two easiest chances to up-sell. People are very particular about their gins, but more importantly the only people who like Bundy are plebs and bogans, so most people would rather order your second pour if you offer it. We stock Bacardi and Bundy as our first pours and then we've got CM, SJ and Appleton's - when people see their choices it isn't hard to up-sell to Appletons. what gins would you recommend? (drinking and avoiding)

(drinking and avoiding) Gin is very much an acquired taste. You have to 'learn' to drink it as it can give you a killer hangover. South Gin is very much one which will give you a killer hangover. Stay away from Gordon's if you can too. Personally I prefer Hendrick's Gin, it's a lot drier and more refreshing, it's also a little more expensive though. Bombay is very herbal and is very popular and as such is a mainstay second pour in most bars. Tanqueray has a very woody characteristic as rosewood is used in the production, it's not bad but not one of my favourites because it competes with the other elements of the drink too much. Drink it with soda. Martin Millers is another one of my favourites, again it's drier but has a lot of flavour character.

WGMG: Cockatoos. Pretty much everything I've tried to grow this year has been ripped out of the ground or cut into pieces by this one annoyingly determined fucking bird. The bastard goes to great lengths to get through the nets but doesn't even eat the plants just enjoys destroying whatever I grow. We suspect the same bird was responsible for letting out our parrot earlier this year.

I'll have a sugar crash from the red bull and because I'm exhausted I'll doze off and then wake up again 3-4 hours later.

WGMG: One of my best friends from high school just told me she didn't want anything to do with me anymore, because she didn't know what kind of friendship i wanted. Well, for starters, i'd like one where you kept your promise that we'd catch up soon, stop teling me you had work and then went to catch up with others. All i wanted to do was catch up with her, apparently that's an awful thing.

It's one of the things we have to do in building and construction . Even our trainer goes it's a waste but we're training you to be business men not hands on laborers
