WGMG: Recorded the brisbane vs adelaide game. Foxtel decides that the program only goes for 30mins. No clash, no drop out or anything like that. Seriously fucking annoying. It's not the first time either.

WGMG: Just realised I've wasted 7 weeks of school holidays doing nothing but playing PS4.

chillbilly wrote:BETHFC wrote:chillbilly wrote:BETHFC wrote:433 wrote:WGMG: Enrolling in uni is a fucking nightmare. So it wasn't just my uni that was useless then? When I enrolled at Wollongong I found it fairly straight forward. Fill in a form with some stuff about who you are and what course you are doing. Give it to lady behind the desk. They then took my picture for the student card. Done. The real nightmare was enrolling in tutorials, labs and workshops. Regularly they were either at 1:30am the night before starting at 8:30am the next day. Then when you arrive in the morning you find out this lab has been moved to 5:30pm yesterday, which now clashes with another subject which has only one timeslot choice for its lab/tutorial. Mine was the same. Main issue was the course enrolment system. It would crash because the uni wasn't smart enough to break the subject enrolments into groups. So you had literally every uni student trying to enrol into courses at once. Scheduling was also shitty. In first year engineering we had a set course. Said course had a physics lecture 2 hours long. The first hour was in 1 building then we had to walk to the other side of campus for the 2nd hour. Such a joke. That lecture was at 8am. The tutorial was at 430pm. I was fortunate living 10mins from campus but not everyone was. We had several lectures set up so that we would have the first hour in one room, everyone would pack up and then walk to the room next door for the second half of the lecture. The price the engineering department paid for not owning any lecture theatres in the uni. Worst schedule I ever had was an hour long workshop for engineering design at 7:30am in the morning with a two hour tutorial at 6:30pm that night. Only time slots available and no other subjects in between. I knew I wouldn't be coming back if I left uni inbetween. They were a long 10 hours to wait each week. The lectures for the that weeks subject matter was also the useless time of 8:30am Friday the next morning after all the work has been done. sounds just like my time at uni. I did engineering myself at Griffith on the Gold Coast.

WGMG: Broke the rail that holds the slats up on the frame of our bed on Friday night. (It had been creaking for a while) The disappointing part was it wasn't even during sexy time! Now because we are moving... in 9months mind you, to our new house, the missus wants a king size bed and it won't fit in the current room, so contemplating leaving the matress on the floor for ages.

In the right region? Yeah, just went onto Netflix Australia. Signed in with my email etc then put my details and shit plus the 3 digit code on the back of my card and it keeps denying it. Talking to my brother he said it happened to him too, from googling it seems like a common issue but yet to find a solution unfortunately. Edited by milan_7: 24/1/2016 11:30:50 PM

My sofa bed went on the right side. Can still sit perfectly on the left but the right sinks down. New sofa online might be the hassle-free go

The Triple J hottest 100 was terrible. Every 2nd song sounded the same. Not bad music tbh Indie Rock or whatever the hell it's called isn't too bad but like 50% of the songs were either shitty rap/hip hop or the same.

Following his critique on twitter is now one of my favourite Australia Day rituals. Also makes for a good drinking game. Get a group together, guess whether his reaction to the song will be positive or negative and whoever is wrong drinks.

How people like a song with fuck all substance over the vocal range of Florence Welch has convinced me that hipsters are everything that is wrong with the world.
