:D Demons are going strong again! What do you think about the FourFourTwo article TeleChoice Premier League Round 12 Review? The 'big Sydney wet' caused three Round 12 TeleChoice Premier League matches to be cancelled as the respective playing surfaces were deemed unplayable.Have your say.

Well they're supposed to tone down ethnic symbols... but all that happened was a couple of name change it really is a pity

you cant really control what people say, that comes with the freedom of speech but football nsw can control things like 'ethnic' banners, flags etc etc,

well its good to see Blacktown City going well. they need all the support they can get, especially with all the off field drama. just what are peoples opinions on their survival next year? i hold the belief that we will be relegated no matter our position, but it would be nice to see Football NSW give us some assistance if we finish in the top 5

From what I understand Penrith were $40k in debt and the Blacktown licensed club were closer to $3mil in debt. Joe still hasn't paid the $40k for Penrith and has only paid the deposit for the Gabbie. This guy seems far from the saviour everyone is talking.

Pimpsta, dont get me wrong as i would love to see every team financially stable. but there is a financial advantage of having ethnic links. it reaches out to that community and helps the attendence and sponsership.
in relation to blacktown city. from what i understand the football club is separate from the sports club (which closed down). however joe is not willing to give the football club the right to play at Gabbi, until he is payed some money. so how all this works out, im not sure. he owns gabbi staduim, and blacktown city pay him to play there. now the sports club has closed due to being in 3m debt. joe wanted the sports club to pay some of this off, and since they could not he didnt allow the football club to play at Gabbi. now if they are separate, as i have read, why would joe punish the football team and its supporters to get back to the demons sports club. it does appear that he did well for Penrith and is going well for the Western Sydney bid in the A League. but he is not doing well for blacktown city.

i went to the blacktown match yesterday and was chatting to the guy at the door, so what actual position he hold, im not sure. i asked him is it likely that we will be relegated like macarthur were last year. he explained to me that clubs have to pay football nsw to play in the league. macarther could not and that is why they were relegated. i asked him are we able to afford this next year. he said yes we should be. he explained that we are indeed separate from the demons sports club that closed and we should be around next year. however he did say that we can be around next year due to the fundraising of such things a chocolate sales. so how much they actually get from a $2.50 bar of chocolate is a bit worrying. but more on a positive note a 0-0 draw against sunderland isnt a bad result

Football nsw has to charge a fee to run the game, Lets not all forget its a bussiness after all for them and Blacktown and the other teams in the comp, Football nsw pay the refs for each game, Not like in club football where the home team pays, And other things come to mind i.e for certain games security has to be at the game, i.e sydney united/bonnyrigg games and a few years back tiger turf final between united and blacktown at marconi, And once again football nsw pays for it,
