There are still some very talented musicians out there but the thing is, people aren't buying their music! Instead they are buying crap from the likes of Kesha instead. The music industry itself isn't the problem, they will deliver whatever the consumers want, if the consumers want depth to their music then that is what the industry will deliver, but that isn't what the consumers want at the moment, and dear god I hope its just a "cycle" or something and we'll get back to real music soon...
