:shock: Close to death. I hope that camera was on a tripod! An Army mate has similar stories about Australian grenades that have been in storage since Vietnam. One time he threw one in training and it shattered against a wall, and his squad had to all stay in the trench for 30 minutes or until an engineer crawls out to detonate it with C4 :lol:

I'm pretty sure mortars can't detonate at such short range though?
