Melbourne Heart FC are pleased to have announced a new three-year deal with principal partner Westpac and as a result, Westpac is giving Melbourne Heart FC members a fantastic merchandise offer.

As an added benefit of the Westpac partnership announcement, Westpac are kindly backing a merchandise discount on 2012-13 Kappa home and away on-field apparel for only $25.

This offer will start from the membership tent at tonight’s game against Oakleigh Canons.

The offer applies to existing 2013-14 Melbourne Heart FC members, who can buy a 2012-13 Red and White home jersey for $25, or a 2012-13 away jersey, also for $25.

Members will have to use their online account username and password to access the discount at our Club Shop.

Additionally, there will be limited sizes in stock available and all online orders will be fulfilled by Friday 27 September.

Oh hell, please don't scare me like that a few days out before the season begins! Who, what, when, and why would we be sold???

So just another collective of business people? So long as they don't introduce fireworks with every goal, those flame throwing machines, and the need to wheel out cheerleaders every five minutes I guess that wouldn't be a bad option.

Weren't all the South supporters jumping up and down saying back in like July that Westpac weren't going to sign back on with the club, and using that as backup to say the club should be replaced? And now they increase the deal and add 3 years? Can't trust a thing the South supporters say :lol:

Whilst I'm here, congrats to you boys down there and cannot wait for our match up in November I'm booking flights and the rest soon, really hope you guys have some success this year and crack that magic 10k barrier, members numbers looking really good now though :)

Cheers. The club has done very well with memberships this season, considering our poor showing last season.

Looking forward to seeing Sydney FC come to AAMI. I reckon Sydney have recruited well for this season, and Sydney and Heart always have entertaining games filled with goals (perhaps too many).

MELBOURNE Heart defender Patrick Kisnorbo has avoided serious injury but is set to miss at least a fortnight with cartilage damage to his right knee.

Heart officials hope Kisnorbo won’t require an arthroscopy after he limped off in the 52nd minute of the 1-0 away loss to Perth Glory on Sunday.

Kisnorbo’s knee buckled, allowing Jamie Maclaren through to score the winning goal, before he was replaced by Patrick Gerhardt.

Harry Kewell, who missed the match with whiplash, will rejoin teammates at training this week but Heart coach John Aloisi said the veteran was no certainty to face Brisbane Roar at Suncorp Stadium on Sunday.

Patrick Kisnorbo's knee injury isn't as bad as first feared.
Heart is in recovery mode after the Perth game, with right back Jason Hoffman suffering heatstroke after the game, during which temperatures reached 26C. He was vomiting before and during the red-eye flight back to Melbourne, but Aloisi said Hoffman and the others who struggled with the heat would be ready for the Roar clash.

"The boys are still recovering from the trip, but there is a good seven-day turnaround for Brisbane," Aloisi said.

"After the game he (Hoffman) started feeling dizzy as he came into the rooms and had blurry vision. Then at dinner he started throwing up and then on the plane he kept vomiting.

"He felt better when we got back to Melbourne, so we ¬expect him to be right, even though he may take a few ¬extra days to recover."

Kewell began individual training last week after being injured in the Round 1 draw with Melbourne Victory.
Marquee player Orlando Engelaar has started his slow recovery after fracturing his leg in pre-season.

"Harry should start training with the main group soon and we’ll see how he pulls up," Aloisi said. "If he’s any chance of playing, we’d love to have him for Brisbane.

"His presence makes a big difference but, if not Roar, we’re pretty sure he’ll be right for Western Sydney (Friday week).

"Orlando is starting to do some exercise now. He’s started to walk on (an anti-gravity treadmill)"
