Winter. So I get to watch football all year round. No way is my girlfriend going to let me watch two games of football a weekend.

On a serious note, many of the pitches wouldn't be able to handle the rigours of a summer season as many of them barely cope with winter (that's from a VPL point of view, can't talk about the others).
