I know they say great pictures should have some kind of symmetry...but having that dick next to the very phallic looking World Cup trophy was a little over the top.

Seriously though...why does the WC trophy look like a penis in the background of the blogger pics?

Chris, happy to put my hand up and say I still don't know much about the Greek team, unfortunately, but I'll take a much closer look at them soon. How do you rate their chances?

I would say any of the three other teams have a fair chance of progressing, with Argentina enjoying what's basically got to be considered an "easy" group.

On another line of thought, did anyone see the news about Human Growth Hormone being diagnosed as a dramatic performance-enhancing drug? Now, Lionel Messi has been getting treatment for years, since he was diagnosed as abnormally short during childhood (around the same time he signed for Barcelona, I believe). Does that make him a drug cheat.

Gaz, thats been identified for years , that human growth hormones are performance enhancers,however there are many strains and types of hormones,some for masking.....human groth hormones are a steroid......steroids are usually used to promote growth, they used to be used to rebuild damaged muscles, until someone put two and two together......

Don't go all conspiracy theory on us Gaz. The various HGH strains are primarily responsible for muscular building, recovery and endurance. They have nothing to do with the sublime skills and soft touch the Messi displays.

On the question of expectations and blame for Australia's campaign, Verbeek will surely cop it if we are annihilated (a little unfairly in my view). But will Socceroos' fans pay him their dues if we escape the group stage? I somehow doubt it.
