We all know Pim won't pick him because he's playing favourites with the squad. Of he does go good but won't surprise me one bit if he doesn't go.

The most likely outcome is that he wont be on the plane.

He hasn't featured for the Socceroos yet, so his chances are extremely slim.

That said, I'd like to see him on the plane.

its strange that playing in the j-league is enough to get kennedy regularly picked but not for bosnar? i know they play totally different positions but i would think they are being equally successful over there.

I find it hard to believe Pim will pass on Bosnar given Kisnorbo is out and there are clearly concerns over Moore's quality right now. It would be near fatal if he wasn't selected in the 27 man training squad. I'be be surprised if he wasn't there.

BOSNAR, OGENOVSKI & GRIFFITHS should all be on the plane!!! You do not need to be Einstein to know that. You also don't need to be Einstein to know that none of them will be because PIM & ARNY & whoever else is involved are seriously DUMB!! We are gonna have an over the hill state league player in Moore instead of 2 players at their peak in strong competitions..... Its gonna be hilarious to see Moore up against Seasoned European attackers when he could not even handle the A League strikers who are the worst in the world...

The difference is Kennedy was playing in the Bundesliga when he got his first cap - and he's a rementant of the Hiddink era. Bosnar didn't have that lusury of a man who can actually recognise tallent and hasn't played in a 'major' league.

Why to people keep talking about Ognenovski? What has he done to deserve a callup? The man attempted to deffect to another country FFS!

Lets see what he has done. He's the captain if a K-League side. Is playing well and is eligible for Australia. I said it before Cahill tried to defect and we had Rhys Williams playing for the Wales U-21 before playing for Australia does that make them any less worthy to play for Australia.

He explored the option of playing for Macedonia because of being continually overlooked. He had the chance and tried to take it but couldn't because they fucked up his paper work. If he says he wants to play and is in good enough form which he is, then I'd pick him if I was Pim. Especially with the limited options we have at the back.

Cahill never TRIED to deffect, he was never in the australian development system. Cahill didn't crack the shits and walk out on the australian team. What part of abandoned his country is so hard to comprehend? Ognenovski doesn't want to play for australia, he wants to play international football. He'd play for New Zealand or New Caledonia if he could.

You'd definitely have him in the squad before Jade North who hasn't played a game in christ knows how long. Hopefully he makes the 27 and impresses in training and the practice matches.

Jade North played a full game last nite as Tromso beat Brann 1-0.

Didn't Pim go over to Japan to watch Milligan, Bosnar, Spira and Jesus right around the time Paddy K was injured? Pretty sure it was a last minute dash as soon as Paddy's injury was announced, so he's no doubt aware of Bosnar and what he can do.

The only issue I see for Bosnar is that he hasn't been tested at international level, but maybe if he gets in the 27 and gets some game time against NZ he could well be on the plane. He certainly gives us another option in the back where we're a bit thin.

As to Sash, he only went after a Macedonian start after Pim told him he wasn't in Australia's plans. As much as I would like to see him in SA, I don't think it will happen. But you never know, who would have expected Wilkshire to be there in 2006?

Well, as I said, I don't think it is likely that Pim will call him up.

However, given the lack of game time the majority of our defenders are getting (North, Spira, Moore), someone like Sash who is playing (well) regularly in a decent league as well as the ACL should at least be considered.

Sasa and Pim have never talked about Sasa playing for Australia, or talked to each other at all.

Sasa has never abandoned his country as he has not played football for any other nation. He also was not part of the Australian development system (state based or national), he just played in Australia.

Also if you don't select players based on leadership qualities, then why the hell is Moore going to be going to SA2010?

it happens when you as a coach, break the first rule, which is never become mates with the players. he's choosing a squad of mates (Culina, Holman, Moore etc) instead of picking the strongest possible squad, one that is in the best interests of Australia (not Pim and his agenda)

though, tbh, singling out Holman is harsh. he deserves a place based on his playing time and decent form in the Dutch league

as a whole i've been happy with pims work but one thing that's always annoyed me is failure to give bosnar, oga, and garcia a chance in the gold shirt. Being in Asia they could have even played in the a-league squad.

Bosnar's absence from the national team has the distinctly disturbing reek of Graham Arnold. My only condolence when Australia gets eliminated from the WC will be the knowlege that GA's involvement with the NT will be over once and for all.

He daclared for another nation, if they'd arranged his passport he'd be playing for them. That's a sgood as abandoning us.

what are you Bosnar fans basing your opinions on?,How many of his games have you seen?other than some youtube highlights?Pim has seen him in action and probably knows alot more about his game than you or me.

If craig moore and rys williams are in the squad then why isnt Bosnar?????

You can stream his games on the internet. He's been playing solid, but nothing special.
