Does anyone else hate the use of 'lol' or am I just a middle-aged fart?
Actually, I am the latter anyway but does this 'lol' thing drive anyone else batshit crazy?
And what about its over-frequent use at the end of any half amusing sentence. Or its use as an oh totally root me over cutdown? It's actually quite insipid. Somewhat like the overuse of 'like', but don't get me started on that one ...

(or whatever people are saying these days). I dont like giving any mercy to students who use them in their writing.

I've always assumed it means Roar Out Fucking Loud but thats only a guess. The annoying thing is my sexagenarian mother uses them in stupid text messages.

The Doctor wrote:the absolute worst is when a person says LOL or says the words... its dreadful I think that could be considered mitigating circumstances in a court of law for when you are up on assault charges for slapping them on the back of the head. Or for giving them a wedgie because they can't pull their fucking jeans up.
