I think if Harry's not going to be fit then Pim should play Schwarzer as his lone striker and Carle in goal. Just for a laugh.
--------Carle------------
Oar--Moore--North--Cahill
----Rukavytsya--Culina---
Grella--Neill---Wilkshire
---Schwarzer-------------

We'd still beat teh kiwis lol.

This game reminds me of that for sure. Will be the last Aust vs NZ match scheduled for a while - at least in Melbourne anyway.

the real test of this game is our defence and if moore, northor beauchamp are up to scratch. if our central def is not able to hold of Smelts we are seriousley in trouble.

We're talking about a warm up game with a lower than expected crowd (good one FFA).

Keep it in perspective.

It's one thing to be fit but its another to be match fit, hardened and in form, he needs game time ahead of the German game and needs to thoroughly test the groin injury before any WC game.

I have a feeling he will miss the NZ game but will play both the Denmark and USA games to really test him before the German game.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Pim: Harry To Miss Kiwi Game?
SOCCEROOS boss Pim Verbeek is certain star Harry Kewell will be fit to play Germany in Australia’s World Cup opener on June 14 - but will miss the farewell game against New Zealand.

Have your say.
