Hey all just thought id start up a forum for players and fans of clubs in Division 2. Roosters are killing it at the moment and are a good side but it looks like there are a few clubs sniffing about.

I play for Belmore Hercules, in and out of both grades.

Average season, but pretty good considering it's our first season back in the State Leagues.

Roosters beat the Reserves 2-1, and beat the First Grade 1-0 on Sunday...

Good stuff yeah i remember Hercules used to be a top team, how did you go against Luddenham and are they a good side?

Hercules Reserve's won 3-1, First Grade lost 1-0 to Luddenham.

Luddenham are a rubbish team but have one gun Croat guy who has a bit of weight on him and was playing as a defender (I think Stopper) and made the difference between the two teams.

Balmain SC got promoted last season. :) :) :) We're Division 1.

This should be the Super League, Div 1 & 2 thread.

Haha i remember playing against Balmain when they played out of Lambert Park. The team would alway vary from year to year depending on which scot or englishman was coming out for a holiday:-) but ive seen that its all different now. As for Hercules i was at the game and from what i seen Luddenham should have had a few more in First grade but i will say that Belmore were a solid side that is underperforming considering most of the side is from Inter Lions but im sure that next year you guys will hit your straps.

Without a doubt Luddenham on the day is a better side. Would you believe if i told you 3 weeks ago across both grades we had 14 injuries? It has been a horrific season so far.

Yeah i believe you, im sure in the end Belmore will be there. Hope you guys knock over Hurstville this weekend i HATE them. Your number 9 should run all over their back 3, although their 2 strikers are top notch but absolute wankers.

Huge Derby game! All the boys are in both grades are ridiculously psyched for it and mentally prepared. I'll let you know ASAP how we go in it. who do you play for?

I used to play for White City, I remember versing Hercules they were good

do teams in this league pay silly money to players aswell ?

Who is that Croat defend with a bit of a gut on him, he is a top player, and if he was fit he would be killing it. He scored the goal with the header, after people on our bench were abusing him or something along those lines.



To my knowledge, the only Club that pays players is Hurstville Minotaurs who are paying 3-4 of there players. No idea on how much. It is a difficult for clubs to raise any revenue to pay players, especially since they don't charge entry at the gate.

Haha don't worry about it mate I've heard a lot worse all good. The defender your talking about is class he was at united a few years ago but owns his own business so didn't have time. But I've known him for about 5 years was at mt druitt before but when I got the job at Luddenham he came too

you recon the this league is a step up from the illawarra premier league ? a mate is keen to go a higher level then the premier league just wanted to find out for him

Illawarra Premier League is borderline Division 1 and Super League.

Put it this way Illawarra premier league pay big coin cos of the travel involved.in my opinion the top couple of teams would cut it in NSW premier league.let's say a average super league player here on $400 may get $800 pw and train 1 night! All depends what your after if you just want a pay cheque go there if you want to try and be noticed play in the NSW leagues. In saying that the bottom half of clubs would be equal to a good 1st div club

top teams are premier league standard i know players who are on $1000.00 to $ 1500.00 per game
and they donthave to travel
the refereeing would be the worst in the state though

or if you are like me and play for a team near the bottom of the table of the Illawarra Premier league, they cant afford to play any of their players :d

Yep thats what im saying theres a massive gap between them i know a guy who was on $700 a game with Bonnyrigg and a club in the Illawarra league offered him $1500 a game and 1 night training! its crazy the money that gets thrown around there.

Well if they can afford to throw that amount of money around at will then you would assume they'd be able to afford Super League or Division 1 wages at Best.

Hercules completely dominated, and after 5-0 Minotaurs copped 2 red cards.

I am getting a release from Hercules.

Great result do you know who got sent off for minotaurs? I bet it was their bald head striker what a muppet that guy is

Which players got sent off I am not 100% sure.

I'll probably go to an Association team, but my local Association (Canterbury Districts) has apparently finished signings for this season. So we'll see what happens.

Oh I've been asked to go to Minotaurs Reserve Grade, but I'd rather not be involved with that Club...

I know Hurstville Zagreb are looking for players? they are last but id say a good chance to be playing 1st grade

I think I would rather be at Minotaurs then Zagreb!!! hahaha

I was with Zagreb 2 seasons ago and left before the competition started. What a joke of a Club they are. And this season is the result of idiots running the Club.
