I dont think Boateng will be very welcome back in Berlin. He will always be known as a dirty player after a tackle like that. It was clearly intentional too, following on from his dispute with Ballack only minutes earlier.

Given Ballack has already reached the pinnacle of football, he will not have lost the opportunity to further his career much more by not being able to participate in this World Cup. I think given time, Ballack will probably move on unless his agent convinces him to take action. Ballack has been guilty of a few agricultural tackles himself, so he will know it is all part of the game.

However, imagine if Boateng commits a simular tackle on a young guy like Nikita when they play South Africa - a player looking to showcase his talent at the world cup. It would be devastating to his chances of using the tournament to advance his career.

Boatang should move to Victory. He will be a club legend and have his own testimonial in five years.

Yes, what a bastard. For that matter what if the entire German team suicide bomb Australia? I think a general lynching is required for possible future acts. Hypothetical situations are nice, but stupid.

Jesus it would not have been intentional chaps and just because he's done it once hardly means it will be regularly on show. Like someone said, Ballack has done this himself a fair few times. It is the way the Football world works. Ballack just got his ticket at the wrong time.

I'm no expert on UK torts law but if Ballack were to successfully sue Boateng, the civil liability ramifications would be so epic it's barely fathomable. It would never happen in Australia, I know that much.
