No, really. But I agree it will be hard for him to break in to the starting 11.
I dunno if emerton, bresc, or kewell will be fit so he he could get a run in the 11 depending on fitness.
Im a fan of him and although he does some cringe worthy things at times, you cant have a go at his lack of effort. I hope he has a great world cup and can silence his critics once and for all, Im not confidant though...

NOOOO! Holman is crap! Four Four Two stop putting him in the spotlight! He has had so many chances to prove himself and all he got for it was a lucky goal against a weak China team like 3 years ago! The fact that he has made the squad means that other players have missed an opportunity to take their chance. If you're going to use him, wouldn't you use him in the starting line-up? Half his value is his engine which wears down the opposition midfield over a match. He's not the impact player who will come on and blast two goals at the end.

Thing with that is he's not better than Emerton or Bresciano, so no he shouldn't start.

Epitome of everything wrong with Aussie footy. Run, run, run, run but can't kick, can't trap, can't pass, can't dribble, no positional sense, can't tackle. Useless and indeed overrated.

Holman has had more than a fair chance to impress at NT level. His excuse about not being able to impress because he was coming off the bench is so lame. He may very well have talent but he hasn't earnt selection. Move on and give someone else a go.

Nobody is saying he doesn't work hard. He pressures the opposition well and sometimes forces them to turn over possession - and then gives it straight back.
