i think australia has learned important lessons - do not experiment at the world cup, do not get red cards and keep composure against big opponents.

As we all should be. Two sensational performances in a row. Any other nation just about, it would have been enough to go through. We fought tooth and nail for that and it's another proud day to be australian. We gave our chances everything we had and a little more to get through but after that thrashing to Germany and their poor finishing in the absence of Klose, it wasn't enough. Heads held high boys, it was a grand effort.

We are obviously all proud, but a bit dissapointed. Imagine what the older, retiring players are feeling. They have come out and supported Pim While they were there, but the next few months will be a bit different I think.
