It's the same old story for England... the media build up how good they are and how they will walk away with the trophy, but the team underperforms and the knives come out... how original...

So does this mean the Bundesliga is superior to the Premier League?
It's a real shame for England. Tragedy after tragedy. I actually feel sorry for them.

Edited by socceroossupporter: 28/6/2010 01:46:47 AM haha let's not take it too far! Although once they start getting lynched by their own press and public I'll feel sorry for them too I suppose.

I could not be happier with this. It is so good to see England just get slaughtered couldn't happen to a better team:lol: Just an amazing stat here. Germany in the last 17 times they've made the World Cup they have made the Quarter Finals 16 times. That is just fucking unbelievable.

Gotta hand it to the Germans, they are efficient bastards. Spoilt rotten with success. Perhaps we based our gameplan off the wrong country (Netherlands).

Germans are bred for success. Their players are brought up with a winning mentality. They are just unbelievable. When they are under pressure instead of buckling they go up another gear.
Of course the English press will say that if that goal hadn't been disallowed they would have won the game and gone on to win the tournament. They did it in 1986 with the hand of God and will do it now.
What of Rooney, a fucking abysmal tournament. So much for setting it alight.

this is definitely a different german team from 2006 and 2002. they may have hiccuped against serbia but just doing enough to get by doesn't seem to equate to this young german team.. interesting...

John Terry should never play another game of professional football after that debacle. He's barely in a fit mental state to be out in public, let alone leading the defence of a nation at a World Cup...

So a rematch of the 2006 Second Round clash between Argentina and Mexico. That game was a cracker and went to extra time hoping for much the same here.
Changes for tboth sides here are the starting line ups.
Argentina: Romero, Demichelis, Burdisso, Heinze, Di Maria, Higuain, Messi, Tevez, Mascherano, Otamendi, Rodriguez
Mexico: Perez, Rodriguez, Salcido, Marquez, Osorio, Torrado, Hernandez, Juarez, Dos Santos, Guardado, Bautista.

 At the referee. Stops the game just to get Oscar Perez to take two long strips of paper off the field. Pathetic really.

What I think is couldn't he have gotten a ball boy or a steward to do it instead of making the keeper do it. This ref is glad he didn't ref at the 78 WC Final he would have had a heart attack. Just look at all that paper:lol:

That's a shame, it really was offside, the assistant should have had the stones to set it straight.
One more for the list.

Tevez scores for Argentna and steals a goal from Messi. Not to mention he was about 5 feet offside. Fucking horrible from the linesman.
After consulting with his linesman the referee lets the goal stand. Pathetic really. How that is given is just unbelievable. I can't understand how the linesman doesn't see Tevez offside.

This world cup has seriously been rogered, there's going to have to be some serious and difficult changes to be made I think.
