Apparently Aust groundsman set St Stithians up, so if anything, they move back there for training. Channel's 9 and 10 are reporting that the Yobbo's will split their time between St Stihians and Ruimsig from now on.

Hasn't a split in training already been approved? 50/50 between St Stithians and Ruimsig to allow for Ruimsig to heal after each use.

I am actually quite thankful for many of the things the FFA have done, would like to think part of new football is about being critical of the institutions eh?

Before the Denmark game the talking heads mentioned that the ground was very firm and offered little traction. Once the game got flowing the field got shredded straight away. Not a good look. 90 minutes tonight will determine the future of the venue.
As for our own potential training venues when I mentioned a few venues that I was familiar with to other supporters the consensus was that these venues were not even good enough for training a World Cup squad. These were grounds where NSW State and Super league were played. Was I missing something in my perception of what makes a quality training venue?

I read that for our 2018/22 bid we had to specify 64 potential practice pitches - not sure if was the same for SA but that should mean there are one or two spares around

Apparently it is one big sand bunker. Nice to know the years of preparation for such things by the FFA paid off....

I'm sure there are a few options around the area - I mean, have you guys seen where they've been training? It's just a regular pitch, I may be underestimating where they're are, but pitches like that you can find in numerous locations in big cities, like here in Australia.
For instance, I'm sure there's some University, sporting complex, private school grounds even, where they could find some suitable pitches to train on, that wouldn't be too far from where the team and support staff are based/staying?

Apparently if we decide we have to move FIFA will organise it.

such a non-story. there's very little chance of us moving anywhere else. 1) where will we go? 2) who will organise it? What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Life's A Pitch For Verbeek? THE Socceroos could be looking for new training facilities after this weekend's clash with the USA unless there is an improvement in the grass at their designated base.Have your say.
