i rekon taking away the x-factor of essien there on par with with us on a individual skill basis. Perhaps even swaying to our side if kewell and emerton are fit for the game. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Rajevac: We're Better Than Roos? GHANA coach Milovan Rajevac believes Germany and Serbia are the main threats to his side progressing from Group D because his side has the measure of the Socceroos.Have your say.

The most overrated team in the entire world. They will finish on the bottom of group D along with Serbia.

You underestimate any team good enough or sneaky enough (I'm looking at you Henry) to qualify for the World Cup at your own peril. What looks weaker on paper won't necessarily translate that way on the pitch.

Underestimate us at your risk then. He's obviously never been on the receiving end of a Tim Cahill late winner.

Most of you are quick to use the champion team vs champion players theory, but i wouldnt go as far to say their team has either of those perceptions over us. Yes Ghana have some fantastic players id have in my team but i honestly believe their quality falls away faster then ours. Plus as a unified group we are quite strong.
This Serbian guy must have a brain the size of my pisshole to underestimate us, or any team to qualify for this WC. Whether or not they survive the group i dont believe they'll do much.

Nothwithstanding the douchebags pisshole brain size and arrogant claims about Ghana as a team. Quote me if I am wrong our international record vs Ghana over the last 20 years favors us heavily. Also don't many of the Ghanians play in the crappy local Ghanian league?

TBH history doesn't really matter when you get to the World Cup because anything can happen really. Past results against a certain team don't matter. Only 3 players in the squad play for Ghana. The 2nd and 3rd string keepers and a defender. None of them starters. The rest ply their trade in Europe.

sydneycroatia58 You never give up do you but you are outvoted on this one. Nothwithstanding the top four players plying there trade, what about the rest, where what league what standard? Are you also gunna tell me that there absolute thrashing by the Dutch and the woeful goalkeeping by the ist string Euro goalkeeper in this game was a mere glitch, just an experiment, not to be taken seriously, just a training run, systems experimentation or the myriad of other lameduck excuses put forward by you guys? They are crap!!

They are crap!! I never said they were good. FWIW I think we will beat them easily but we can't say they shouldn't underestimate us and then underestimate them ourselves. Ok the players plying their trade in Europe for Ghana are as follows: Kingson - Wigan(EPL) Sarpei - Bayer Leverkusen(Bundesliga) Paintsil - Fulham(EPL) Mensah - Sunderland(EPL) Inkoom - Basel (Swiss Super League) Vorsah - Hoffenheim (Bundesliga) Annan - Rosenborg(Tippeligaen) Boateng - Getafe(La Liga) Appiah - Bologna(Serie A) Muntari - Internazionale(Serie A) Ayew - AC Aries-Avignon(Ligue 1) Asamoah - Udinese(Serie A) Prince-Boateng - Portsmouth(EPL) Gyan - Rennes(Ligue 1) Amoah - NAC Breda(Eredivise) Tagoe - Hoffenheim(Bundesliga) Adiyiah - AC Milan(Serie A) Apart from 2 other players who play in Africa(South Africa and Egypt) and one that plays in Qatar they all play in Europe and all play in the top division. In every quote I've seen the Socceroos have shown sensible respect for the 3 quality teams in the group along with hints that their goal is to win the competition. But they are taking it 1 game at a time. But in the 8 games they would get to play if they get to the final, I think Ghana will be the easiest IMHO. This guy is a tool if he thinks he has the edge over us. This is a much improved team over the last time we played Ghana.

Just a general question guys. How much does club match fitness have an impact on international football and can team spirit/unity overcome this lack of match fitness? What are your opinions? I don't think any of the other teams know that much about us, to be honest, notwithstanding we were in Germany in 2006. This is a good thing from our perspective. It doesn't guarantee us a result but it sure doesn't hurt.

I guess the obvious question I ask is that we have played Ghana on a number of accassions and never seem to have much problem with them despite the constant and my I say boring references about how great they are technically which almost become stereotypical. Conversely tactically they appear to be plain stupid and ripe for the picking and this is there achilles heal. So I guess we will just have to wait and see what happens.

I can tell that some of these comments have been said out of anger. Come on guys, we should be used to being underrated and being dubbed the underdog. It doesn't matter what "douchebag" coaches say/predict. Just let the football do the talking.
