Such a shame. Still it had no bearing on our game it was our shitty play that let us down. What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Socceroos Feel Surface Tension? AUSTRALIA faces a major headache as it embarks on its final World Cup preparations with coach Pim Verbeek describing the surface at Ruimsig Stadium, which will be Australia's training ground during its campaign, as hopeless.
Have your say.

Pim said before the game that it looked immaculate and that he hoped it looked like that after the game. Unfortunately it didn't parts of it just got ripped up so badly during the game and Culina said it was very soft underfoot which is why it got ripped up. JUst not good enough imo.

There shouldn't really be these problems at the World Cup. Fair enough for other competitions and stuff, but the World Cup is supposed to be the top of the top so there should be exquisite training facilities and grounds.

I have to agree that the relentless sound of horns are VERY irritating. I thought I'd rather turn the TV sound off and watch in silence than endure that buzzing all the time. Maybe they add atmosphere at the game but they need to turn the outside mics way down for the TV coverage. The sounds of crowds cheering etc sounds good on TV, but sounding like you're trapped inside a giant bee-hive is ... NOT good.

so despite being one of the first teams to qualify, and with plenty of time to scout training bases, we end up training on a dodgy pitch immediately prior to the cup, and at altitude when 2 of our 3 matches aren't at altitude! How could we stuff this up when we had so much time and did plenty of scouting??!

They should ban the vuvuzeela or whatever it's called. It's horrible. the person who invented the stupid thing should be publically hung, but not before he's locked in a room and deafened by 100 being blown all at once for 120 minutes. That'll teach him not to invent the worlds most annoying musical instrument - yea i did some research and the fucking things are classified as musical instruments. If that's the case, may god help the music industry in South Africa.

lol Robstazz... haven't read anyone whose said we lost because of the pitch.
As to those horns. Sweet god, I cannot say enough bad things about them. I've been praying someone would start a petition to get them banned. Truly painful way to watch such an incredible event as the WC with easily one of the most annoying sounds a human can try and come up going off constantly.

Robstazzz - you sir are lower than whale shit. Just for the record, do you even know who Holman is or are you just here hoping to find someone to be your friend on facebook? Holman is the guy that wasn't playing yesterday. He is the guy who came on in the second half against NZ and Denmark, the only two halves out of the friendlies that we dominated, remember?

You Sir are a dumb fuck!everyones entitled to thier own opinion and i never said holman played anywhere in my comment. What i said was moore, grella, and holman shouldnt be in the team.Oh and that 2nd half against new zealand remember thats ONE game and no apart from the goal he scored i still didnt think he played good and YES i do do know his team.Oh and as for making friends on facebook stop speaking about yourself im not a facebook obsessed fan like most people these days but anyways all this has nothing to do with anything i said.I just dont think some players should be there thats all.I' pick Ogonovski anyday over moore not in the past but i mean for this world cup, mcdonald should be in as we are short of strikers and id have lecke and oar in on the bench to atleast get some experience which will help them through in the asian cup too.

I actually agree with some of what you are saying... Not the Holman ting... I think he is going to be a great player for Australia. But Australia played shit football. And this one striker really is stupid.

Lets get to the crux of the matter. The Socceroos still haven't worked out how to play with the jabulani. Whereas the Americans where doing short crisp passes to their own team mates the entire game. The Socceroos were performing wayward passes all game.
They've had it for almost 2 weeks. Aren't they supposed to be professionals? The ball is not an excuse anymore, but its still quite clear they haven't come to terms with it yet.
