Gomez didn't score once in the last major tournament
Podolski is about as useful as Klose at the moment.

Moore had a good game against the US and showed surprising pace. Midfield cover was the problem.

Klose and Podolski are still quality players, not to mention:
Klose has also scored 7 goals in 8 appearances in qualifying
Podolski not too far behind with 6 from 9

But Gomez is shit, 0 from 10 but he has been used as a sub mostly.

I'd hope they take the apporach of resting Klose and/or Podolski and play Gomez, i think he will give us the least amount of grief at the back
