a wins a win... 3-0 isnt bad... hopefully there will be a big performance Sunday morning against the Yanks

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article England's Lukewarm-Up Win?
ENGLAND limped to an unconvincing and, at times, pretty awful victory in their practice match against local South African league side Platinum Stars.

Have your say.

A lot of sporting teams, not just in football, seem to lower their level to that of the opposition and rise to the occasion in the big matches. I don't think their potential to perform is a problem, but it probably does show a little bit a mental issue. If the US start poorly they wont be able to afford to sit back and not take advantage of it, especially if the US come out firing in the second half.

They will find the yanks a bigger hurdle. They are fit, fast determined and capable. England as a team appear to be not one of the above.

I'm sure a fear of injury and lack of high pressure games all play its part but there is no doubt that England are a little nervous and unsure. Once the 11 take the field for the first game I'm sure that will start to regain some composer. But going on the win the world cup? Sadly I don’t think it will happen this time.
