Hurt Locker was absolutely incredible - and Up in the Air not far behind... but I think of them as last year. So yes, I probably do go by Oscars eligibility :D

I don't know how Shakespeare In Love won so many Oscars. One of my most despised movies of all time.

The newer Nightmare on Elm Street is quite awesome. Love how they turned Freddy Krueger back into an awesome villain.

Hurt Locker was absloutely superb. However, Inception for me is slightly better. Only just though.

No, the hype made it seem so much better than it was, felt very let down by it.

sydneycroatia58 wrote:raspberryticklebear wrote:wtf slumdog millinaire was actually a very good film The problem is it was so hyped up and made out to be so much better than it actually was. This. All the hype made it out to be such an excellent film and all it turned out to be was the kind of film that you watch in english class. It was boring, dreary and....just plain shit. Likewise the hype with Transformers. An 'excellent' movie that I thought was absolute crap. It was all hype.

The Hurt Locker only won about 7 Oscars, including Best Picture...
I'm not sure how someone can not have heard about it.
