Saw Hangover II today. Not too bad I thought. It's basically the original with a slightly different script - pretty much what I expected - same/similar jokes, story line etc. Not too bad, It's not as good as the original I thought, but I think that's because the Original was such a shock and surprise to everyone, that it worked so perfectly. I think everyone is a bit worried that II would be a failure. It hasn't - but I hope they don't make a third, that will definitely kill it. I've also bought The Hurt Locker, which i'm really looking forward to seeing, I also picked up Pelham 123 - and Public enemy. Edited by Heineken: 20/6/2011 05:03:56 PM

Definitely think the original traded off the crass nature of its jokes and confrontational humour. The second went some way to killing the humour in that. But I have to say, I'll never get tired of seeing a guy with a severed finger up his nose. That aside, I definitely agree that there is no need for a third one and a third one will definitely destroy it.

Can confirm the alternate ending of 127 Hours is better than the original ending. Dammit Danny Boyle
He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

ATT: Marconi Article wrote:We hate when great comedy shows are killed off prematurely, and love when the possibility arises that they might rise from the grave to take over movie screens. The idea of an Arrested Development movie is something that has generated a surplus of questions and speculation, and that project seems to be slowly (slowly) crawling towards the light.
Party Down is a much more recent cancellation, and still more of a niche show than Arrested Development was. But it may actually be closer to hitting movie screens, as producer Rob Thomas says that a movie deal is in the works.
During a Q&A held at the Alamo Drafthouse’s Ultimate Party Down Marathon this past weekend, producer Rob Thomas answered a question about a third season of the show with talk of a movie:

Im much more of a TV series man but I do love my movies, not trying to be cultured and pretentious like you say but I'm really just too lazy to actually give rankings to these films so I'm just going to list 10 of my favourite films. The Boondock Saints Children of Men City of God Green Street Hooligans Gladiator Anchorman American History X Apocalypse Now Harry Potter series Football Factory Boondock Saints is the hands down winner for me though, its just an absolute classic and one of the few I can just keep watching and appreciating. Harry Potter movies aren't anything special but I'm a huge fan of the books and I think the films do them justice and provide some simple entertainment which is all you want.

25 minute short film directed by Jordan Vogt-Roberts who works for Funny or Die Presents: Written by and also stars TJ Miller (Hud from Cloverfield) and stars someone else who you've probably heard of by now..... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2011/05/14/successful-alcoholics-lizzy-caplan-tj-miller-_n_861985.html

Saw 2 chick flicks at my girlfriends house today. Can't actually tell you what I saw, because I fell asleep in both of them. I believe the second one was No Strings Attatched. From what I did see of it, before I started dreaming of better things, It was OK. There's a poor-mans lesbian scene in it with Drew Barrymore in it. Natalie Portman is pretty hot in it I admitt. Ashton Kutcher made me want to vomit, and then consume it as if it were a tasty and juicy steak.

Loving the Austin Powers honorable mention
Fell asleep watching Layer Cake last night and ended up having to re watch the final 20 minutes about three times until my sleep dazed brain could take it in, decent film though, pretty similar feel to Guy Ritchie's films. Sienna Miller is looking very fit in her appearances and Craig does a pretty dent job

Layer Cake is 1st class
The ending is well fit and perfect. if you watch the alternates you'll see that they made the right choice. Very similar to a Ritchie film, only thing missing was Vinnie Jones.

Michael Bay killed the series. I look back and am shocked he did as good a job as he did with the first one. Yet, I will still see it because I have grown up with Transformers.

Saw Transformers today, personally I like it. Plenty of explosions and fighting, and had much more of a storyline than the last one. Also, the new girl is much much hotter than Megan Fox.
