Salt is a really good movie. I like movies that are weird and confusing, such as Face/Off.

Benjo wrote:Watched Inception, Tangled and Despicable Me last night. Inception was awesome as usual. Expected Despicable Me to be good, turned out to be rubbish and predictable. Tnagled was also predictable, but surprisingly, I actually enjoyed it. Had quite a few moments which made me laugh. Not bad at all. Inception was lame, Special effects were cool but the sub story and therefore subsiquent ending were just lame. Mega Mind is well better than Dispicable Me. Rango is not bad either. Clint Eastwood Cameo as the Man with No Name is excelent.

Fell asleep watching Bridesmaids last night. Therefore it must suck.
Anyone recommend a good thriller? Still on the lookout for something awesome. Frayed was pretty good, The Roommate was a shit movie but managed to kinda save itself because it had Minka Kelly and Daneel Ackles in it.

Friday Night Lights alumini =p~ Misery is a pretty awesome thriller. Quote:Mega Mind is well better than Dispicable Me. Rango is not bad either. And Rango was brilliant, probably the best film I have seen this year. made me so thirsty though :p Johnny Depp was his usual solid self.

Children of Men is one of my favourites and the cinematography is absolute class.I encourage fans of the movie to read the book by P.D James, it's completely different which I enjoy because it allows you to appreciate the quality of both without feeling the need to compare and judge either text

Am currently on an ijury enforced lay off, so have watched a few movies over the last 5 months. Have The Mission to watch tomorrow. Havent seen it in ages, but from what I remember, a very powerful, and visually beautiful movie.

Everyone's hanging out for Tintin. I can't help but feel that it's going to be incredibly disappointing.

Tin tin has been slammed a few times, not Revenge of the Fallen Slammed but you know, doesn't live up to the hype type stuff. Fails to stay true to the Comic books etc. Still I love Tin tin and hope this causes ABC to put the old cartoon back on.

I actually have the box set...but I don't remember what I paid for it. Good value nonetheless. But the theme music now does my head in.

I'm thinking i'll head to Tintin on Boxing Day, maybe Sherlock Holmes on my birthday. I desperatly want to see the Muppets as well. It looks pretty awesome. It has Jason Segel and NPH in it. Also, Dave has a cameo.

Speaking of Tintin Hoyts (or whatever they're called now) were throwing out a couple of promo posters for the Tintin movie. I taxed one, and now have it proudly blue-tacked above my desk :) As for the movie, I'm looking forward to seeing it. Also looking forward to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo when it comes out early next year. Got to get round to reading books 2 & 3 in the series, I really enjoyed the first book. Haven't seen the Scandenavian version of the film though, should probably check it out then compare it to the book/English movie. It's got Daniel Craig who plays the detective, so that should be interesting. Today went to the movies with my mum, haven't spent much time with her, ended up catching Jack & Jill with Adam Sandler. Now I know some people on here don't like him, and to be brutally honest, his last few movies haven't been that flash, if anything a couple have been nothing higher then C Grade, however this one isn't too bad. He plays a double part in the movie - he plays his twin sister as well as himself (yes, he dresses up like a woman) which is a bit cringe worthy, but there are a few funny moments in the film. Bit of a step down for Al Pacino who plays a large roe in the film, but if you're bored, or its a rainy day, and you got nothing else to see, it's worth it. Its not the best comedy you'll see, but it's not the worst.
