Sheesh, that product placement was terrible.
-PB Oh yeah, it's like they didn't even try to hide it. Especially in the Hong Kong scenes. I know. After the lil Beats speaker thing my jaw literally dropped when it came to, Bud Light, Goodyear, Victoria's Secret, Tom Ford etc etc etc -PB I quite liked listening to Ken Watanabe speak while having a Bugatti badge shoved in my face

Well Beats was the worst ofc. -PB

Usually when product placement is in a movie it's pretty subtle and I never really care, but I found there was one scene in 22 Jump Street that Tatum was eating a bag of Doritos and it was just so blatantly disgustingly obvious product placement that was so incredibly unnecessary
Note: I haven't seen the new Transformers so don't know how truly awful product placement was in it like yall are saying. But if it's worse than that 22 Jump Street scene, I will cry

Saw 'Water for Elephants' the other night. Not bad. My man crush on Christoph Waltz grow every time I see him in something new. Mind you, every time I see him in a movie, all I can think is him either drinking milk in a Frenchman's farmhouse, or eating an Apple Strudel loudly in a restaurant.. But yeah, not a bad movie.

Rise of The Dawn of The Planet of The Apes. Just fucking wow.
If this doesn't get Andy Serkis some real fucking recognition as an actor than nothing will.
Michael Bay could also learn a thing or two from this movie about focusing less on the human characters.

Finally saw Gravity, thought it was terrible tbh. So underwhelming for the hype that it got. Cuarón's Children of Men was far superior

Went to the cinemas to see Jersey Boys last night. It was pretty much the same as the musical, and the musical was one of the best things I've seen. I absolutely loved it.
Can't help but think a few of the guys I saw in the musical would have been better suited for the movie than the guys they did cast, particularly big Nick. At first when I saw Christopher Walken was in it I thought it was a bit too gimmicky but I ended up loving his role in it.
I highly recommend it to anyone.

Yeah, I always wondered how Children of Men managed to be brilliant and completely fly under the mainstream radar - even with two massive feature actors in Owen and Moore.

I was fully expecting elaborate traps etc but they were pathetic at it  Loved the movie though, couldn't take my attention away from it the entire movie. Are they making a third, did someone say?

I get what people are talking about now with the advertising in Transformers. I read somewhere that even the Chinese were confused as to why they were drinking a Chinese energy drink in Texas

Snowpiercer
featuring captain america (chris evans) on board a perpetually moving train after climate change causes an eternal icestorm which ensures man can only live on that train. Unsurprisingly class warfare arises from man living aboard, where the upper class lives at the front and the slums live at the back
Interesting premise, and interesting cast (ed harris and also tilda swinton)

Dawn of the Planet of the Apes is excellent. Andy Serkis deserves so many awards.
Also, Koba on horseback was fucking badass.
