Godzilla 2 apparently going the Destroy All Monsters route with Mothra, Rodan and Ghidora all in there.

It's a fucking age away but already geed for it if they do indeed go down that path.

I saw Locke last night, it's literally 80 minutes of Tom Hardy taking phone calls in his car so it's probably not for everyone but I love Hardy and he's as brilliant as ever in this so it's definitely worth a watch imo.

Gonzo: The Life and Work of Dr. Hunter S. Thompson

Excellent film, same director of the Enron doco, very detailed biography of an incredibly crazy genius

He was a man of specific quirks. He believed that all meals should be earned through physical effort. He also contended, zealously like a drunk with a political point, that the third dimension would not be possible if it werent for the existence of water.

THERE'S GOING TO BE A BLINKY BILL MOVIE!!!

Quote:

Australia’s favourite koala, Blinky Bill, is set to be revived in big-screen adaptation The Blinky Bill Movie.

The animated series, which was originally based on Dorothy Wall’s books, aimed to present stories of conservation and nature through the activities of talking koala Blinky Bill and his friends.

Screen Australia has green-lit the project with Australian actor and True Blood star Ryan Kwanten voicing the mischievous Blinky and Tim Burton’s former art director, Deane Taylor, set to direct the feature length film.

The story follows Blinky as he sets out from his hometown Greenpatch and across the outback to find his missing father. While the movie is set to include the original cast of characters, Blinky is also set to meet some new friends along the way.

A release date for the film is yet to be confirmed.

Michael Bay apparently not so keen on directing Transformers 5. Would be the best thing that could have ever happened to that franchise.

So randomly I saw the trailer for two movies that came out earlier this year that looked great, so I acquired both and watched them.

Cuban Fury was funny. Main star was Nick Frost (the non Simon Pegg of Hot Fuzz, Shaun of the Dead, etc) and also had Roy from The IT Crowd (Chris O'Dowd) and others. It was a good laugh and made you want to look into salsa dancing  I highly recommend.

Non-Stop was good. Main star Liam Neeson, and a typical Taken-style movie of Neeson's. The movie had a pretty cool idea, and was pretty intense and was executing it pretty freaking well, until the motives/ending were revealed and tbh I was a little let down. They could have done so much more with what they set up IMO. Still worth a watch if you like Neeson style movies.

Saw GOTG 2 weeks back, and loved it. Exactly like the source material.

Transformers needs to stop. They've made more money than Dawn of the Planet of the Apes, which is an actually GOOD movie. smh

Featuring James Franco and Emma Roberts (Madison Montgomery) from American Horror Story and directed by Gia Coppola (Francis Ford's granddaughter)

Its interesting how different the two female coppolas are as opposed to Francis Ford. For those not that keen on plot, this is another exercise in picking up nuances, its even more shapeless than Sofia Coppola, but there will be a few whingers and moaners here about the promotion of this movie. Sure fine, why not? Why dont you watch expendables 3 or something stupid instead?

Saw the new Inbetweeners movie yesterday. If you like the show and the first movie you'll love it. Really funny to watch as an Australian, especially having spent so much time in the Byron area.

I got to see The Inbetweeners 2 last night. I absolutely loved the telly show, so have a bit of a thing for them. But tbh the first movie I was left fairly underwhelmed, I think because I had built it up from the show too much. And the second movie - similarly underwhelmed. In both movies I thought there were a few great moments that'll I'll definately take away from and laugh at (probably more from the first tbh), but overall they weren't as good as I'd built them up to be expecting. I was listening to the Doctor from JJJ interview the guys a few weeks back and they were saying that movie will be the last Inbetweeners stuff they do. I already miss it
My favourite moment had to be when Mr Gilbert first entered the scene. The moment I saw his face, I knew exactly why he was there, and I just fxxxing lost it. Such a good way to end it IMO!
I saw it last night too and I loved it.

I've been following the show since the beginning but as excited as I was for it I wouldn't say I built up any expectations besides more of the same classic humour, however if I was to poke holes in it it's probably a pretty weak story and a poor wrap up if it really is the last we'll see. Regardless of that though I honestly don't think I've laughed harder at anything they've done prior as I found myself doing in a number of scenes here, they didn't just raise the bar in terms of OTT crude humour they absolutely smashed it.

Come prepared to see plenty of cock and balls.
The 'fingering her to sleep' scene with Jay wanking next to him was brilliant, that and the two scenes of Neil defiling his friends with bodily excretions have to be some of the most outrageous gags they've ever pulled. Also how disgusting was Neil's cock?
Agreed, the more I've been thinking about it today the more I've been laughing. Maybe I'll re-watch it and love it!
Neil's cock haha so hilarious! I also cacked it when she fingered her to sleep. The scene where Neil ran to the mirage reminded me of Peter Griffin falling over - it got funnier the longer it dragged out, and afterwards you're left thinking "dafuq was I even laughing at". The more I'm thinking of it the more I'm finding the cutting of the hoodies hilarious

I think I was too phased by some of the weak plotlines like you said. They really spent that entire journey getting the Jane for her to say "nope" and we didn't see her again? Also the whole Byron crew ended kind of weirdly.
Holy fuck.

After smashing Sleeping Dogs in a few days I had fallen in love with the classic Honk Kong crime dramas and decided to start doing some of the ones on the top 10 lists floating around the net.

Decided to give Firestorm a whirl and holy shit what an awesome, gritty, frightening and heavy movie it was.

http://www.imdb.com/title/tt3341072/?ref_=nv_sr_1

Andy Lau kills is in this, thoroughly recommended.

We split the cooking fairly evenly but I think I lay more of a claim as the chef of the house, so I did a bit of research into making Cubanos and will probably do it some time. I've never had one but they look unreal.

My mouth was watering the whole time watching that. We're starting to get a little bit of a foodie truck culture happening down here in Melbourne, but still early days.

I'm always in awe of the way chefs describe experiences around food, there's a great docco series called Mind Of A Chef that explores that element. I wish food hit me in the same ways, as much as I enjoy it I just don't feel the same pop that foodies project.
