not another one of these! How about a article stating which team has the most players with the most experience at a world cup? oh yeaaaaah. I can't wait to hit 30, my bones will shatter, my legs will stop working all of a sudden and my back will start aching uncontrollably - hello nurse! How about? Chippers: We're awesome! What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Chippers: We're Not Too Old? VETERAN defender Scott Chipperfield has hit back at suggestions the Socceroos are 'too old and too slow' and promised he team will prove the critics wrong.Have your say.

Average age of France at the last world cup? 31. They would have won the final without Z's brainout. nave

It will happen at some stage Borstal. Pim didnt bring anyone else. Love Chippers he's still up to it.
I say bring Chippers to SFC as the target man upfront. If he caan put em away in Swiss League he can do it at home.

WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Geez I hope Chippers stays in Europe to coach and comes back in 15 years to take the NT. Rate him highly as a bloke.

It's not the age that bothers us, it's the fact that guys like Chipperfield and Moore aren't playing in competative leagues and haven't played at this level in quite a while, they've looked off the pace in the warm-up games, it's only going to get worse when things get competetive. When you're 34 and at a world cup, that's usually because you're a legend of the national side, not there because Australia doesn't have a decent specialist Left Back.

Are you kidding? It's a terrible idea. He'd spent the entire game offside.

he spent alot of time in the forward half in the game against the usa and dident go offside once :) it would be worth a try he has scored a fair few goals for his club this season :)

He did score a few goals this season, but you've got to remember that this is in the swiss league and the quality of the defence isn't exactly notable. Not to mention that Basel scored 90 goals from their 36 games, so they were scoring pretty freely all season.

Well we could play Wilkshire at LB and Emerton at RB and that's probably a better option.

I've never been the biggest fan of Chipperfield. And now he's struggling with the pace of the game I don't think he should be being selected for the highest level.
I think we'll see both Moore and Chipperfield bow out after the cup.
