They would work great together if we had a 442,, Kewell being the technical one and Cahill with a devestating strike.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Key Duo Ready To Play For Roos?
HARRY Kewell and Tim Cahill have declared themselves fit and ready to go just three days out from Australia's opening World Cup game against Germany in Durban on Sunday.

Have your say.

But what about Emerton? We need him against Germany too. I hope he at least gets subbed on. Brett always slips under the radar so hopefully it's just because nobody asked him!
Daniel, I think that's off the mark. Neither of them is centre forward material. They both work best scoring from midfield. And they are very different styles, they work best as seperate threats which also confuses and scares the opposition defence more.

What are the odds of him starting, and then coming off with an injury at the 20 min mark reminiscent to his champions league final appearance with Liverpool against Milan?

in reality, he should be holidaying in the US watching the world cup from his sofa

Emerton, Cahill & Kewell starting would be golden. I'll hold my breath and expect super sub from Kewell and Emerton.

Coot cat that is the dumbest thing i've ever heard you say. In my opinon even if they did get injured they would play threw it. Kewell loves Australia and he is probably the only person ive heard speak about the Socceroos as a force (now or in the future) that can claim a world cup.

these Kangaroos can play football -

You will look like a right dickhead if he manages to do anything at this world cup. Australia's most technically gifted player should be watching from a couch in the US, what a douche.

Lucky for us your not the Manager and will be watching the world cup from your sofa at home hey.

Cool_cat2007 AKA Heineken the Second and I agree Tyson what a douche. Like all nutters and Eurosnobs he wants the Socceroos to fail so he can say I told you so!! The only sofa coolcat will be watching from is at the Macquarie Hospital where he is occassionally let loose from a straight-jacket. A lagactil lased loser!!

lol cool cat really opened the floodgates. one little comment and everyone is on his back ehh?

anyway: cool cat, youre a douche.

ive said it before - kewell's class is not affected by injury. ive seen him come back from months without playing and be just as influential as when he was playing regularly. few players are capable of doing this, kewell is one of them.

this is kewell's world cup. i really think that how he plays will be the decider in whether or not aus advance to the second round.

yeah i was wrong....not

is any player who hasn't played for over half a year, and is barely fit (let alone match fit) going to change the tournament for us in 1 or 2 games? Doubt it. My opinion may appear cynical, but i think the moment Pim decided to go against his own criteria of selecting players who are only somehwhat match fit, and then doing the exact opposite i.e Craig Moore , just shows how poor a manager he is.
