Why does SBS have to ruin the coverage and use Basheer..he is soooo boring.

I watched the game last night - didn't think there was much wrong with Basheer (no worse than any other commentator).

Gary Bloom did the Korea Greece match, he's outstanding.

Poor guy had to do it on his own too. I was amazed that he could keep up with who the players were haha

The guy couldn't get excited with three hookers and a pharmacy full of Viagra. He has the world's most boring voice after that guy who accompanies Phil Liggett. And the other night he didn't get a single tactical comment correct. He made some comment about Pienaar needing to make more runs down the right flank to get more crosses in, despite the fact that he was playing in the hole and when he DID make a cross, he botched it completely.

Gary Bloom was excellent. I really enjoyed listening and he's the first guy since Martin Tyler where I've actually wanted to hear what he has to say.

I don't mind him, it's quite enjoyable listening to him at 4am talking like he's giving a speach to a bunch of four year olds in kindergarten.

That's the thing though, SBS are showing it through some default divine right...the least they could do is have decent commentators instead of useless twats like Basheer.

The guy who did the Korea/Greece match, and the guy doing the current Argentina/Nigeria match have done a great job so far.

I just wish we didn't have to listen to Basheer and Muscat, when we have these commentators at hand.

I cringe to think who will be commentating the Germany v Australia game.

Lol SBS wishes they had Gary Bloom as their commentator he's just from te ITV feed just like the USA vs England match will be Martin Tyler through the ESPN feed.
