I disagree with your concerns. The World Cup is no place to blood youth and give them experience. We need the best available players and PV has made the right selections based on our style of play.

Opportunities were given to Oar and Holland but just didn't have the required skills to make the final 23, and lets not forget Williams who was injured. With the squad selected there is youth in Vidosic, Ruka and Federici.

Needless to say, but should be a great game for Australian football and i'm predicting an upset.

It is interesting that Germany is a much younger team now, and they are still tipped to be the team to beat at the WC. I am concerned that we did not manage to unearth and blood enough young new Oz talent and blend them into the team.

Really, we've either played them once or trice. No use saying we played west germany at the 1974 world cup and forget that we also played east germany in the same group. Germany is now both east and west....
