I cant believe that anyone could say that this result was not Pims fault. He picked the squad virtually bereft of creative talent, and filled with "experience". He picked the matchday line up and the formation and tactics played.

We may not have many other options with our cattle, but he could have at least given some of them a go over the last 18 months to find out. Oh, thats right. He did..... For one game at a time. When the manager shows no confidence in his squad it rubs off on the players, which is why there are so many whispers of disharmony coming out of the squad.

And why the fuck change the formation and the way we are going to play ON THE DAY OF THE GAME!!!!!!

Bozza is in SA. Sack Pim now and give him the gig. At least he would install some confidence in the group.

Just like 4 years ago was supposedly the best thing ever to happen to Australian soccer this WC might just end up being the worst. The scary thing is that it might just get even worse. Then what???

To Pim ,
I would just like to take this oppurtunity to let you know that my earlier coments regarding selection of our defence has now just been justified ( Colosimo and Bosnar ).
Just a bit of advice , if you want toplay the offside trap against a team like GER , GAHNA or SER you need strong , agile and QUICK central def that if we are caught out can actually chase a ball or player down not just stand and watch . AND TO ALL OF YOU THAT GAVE ME A HARD TIME ABOUT MY EARLIER COMENTS ON SELECTION AND OUR DEF BEING OUR WEEK POINT .The proof is in the pudding .

14/06/2010 10:25:36 PM We are at a world cup . We have 3 games to qualify to th 16. our team is made up of unfit, injured , no game time ,no club players . HOW THE F DOSE THAT HELP US GET THERE . pim you are an absolute mong , I as a supporter would have much prefered our in form a-league and asian league players be there and actually have a go and lose than a team of criples....

Boys and girls, this performance has been coming now for several weeks, if not months, if not years. The last 3 games before the cup have seen 2 non deserving wins as well as a touch up from of all counties , USA. The best we have played in the past year has been the game against Ireland.
4 years is alongtime in football, so long that we have not been able to replace Dukes with a striker of any quality. Solong that we still rely on a clubless Craig Moore in the defence, so long that we all still rely on an injury prone winger come apparent striker as the be all and end all of our campaign.
Brazil is another 4 years away and i cannot see a socceroos team venturing there nor a battle hardened strength come Quatar for the Asian Cup. The golden generation has come and gone. Pim should of seen it coming, i'm sure that Huus did.

No i'm blaming the kids.

I plan on doing a door knock around the local neighbourhood.

Andyroo "excuse me are their any males between the age of 20 and 27 present?"

"Yeh i'm 25"

Andyroo "why the **** aren't you in the Socceroos team?"

Australia did manage to limit the Dutch as well as the Danes attack in a friendly and if you have a look they played deep and invited them to break them down. The good reading of the play by our defenders as well as a packed defense made the task very difficult. It could be argued the Dutch got some chances on goal but they rarely could purge the Aussie defense.
My question to Pim is why would you play a high line with a slow defense? Balls over the top with pacy players are devastating and we can see the Socceroos cannot handle it when they are stretched. If you are going to play high then you must be intent on equally attacking as well as have the personal to do it but with few strikers and a slow defense it is silly.

The goal against the Danes was nothing but a mere fluke. Had it not been for the deflection, it would gone right over everybody's heads.
