Holman has definitely improved over the last few games. Passing has been alot better and hes been making some good runs +closing down defence. But again lacks creativity. Carle was alot better suited. Some people dont play well for club, but are fantastic for country. Carle played very well and deserved a shot.

But again anti-football wins for Verbeek. And look where we ended up. The reality is, although im afraid to say it, is our dream is over.

I'm actually afraid to agree with you, in that it is looking very doubtful we'll go through now. But i live in hope. And while I have been a Pim supporter to date I wouldn't mind a Dutch style player coup about now!

Pims style is not dutch style. Its simply Pims style. Dutch = Total football. Pim = Total crap. Thats the difference. No comparison.

Pim exited Carle, and he didnt even give him the chance to prove himself in the friendly. Completely unfair.

We could of paid a bit less on the accommodation and lavish spending in housing the socceroos for training camp. And used that to buy a decent coach. Im sure the socceroos wouldnt have died if they lived in a 4.5 star hotel instead of 5. At the end of the day you can only sleep in one bed and shit in one toilet.

We spent millions. And verbeek was paid what, 2-3 million? Absolutely ridiculous. Complete mismanagement. Korea got rid of Verbeek with very good reason. Im being serious here, he is actually sick. Because he is very one-sighted and biased. Tactically and technically. Terrible terrible coach, easily one of the worst in the business. Does not adapt at all to any situation.

A monkey could have got us to the WC and suddenly everyone is praising Pim. Farina would have given us a better shot TBH. Yes Farina.

The key to all of this, whether you like it or not, is that the development of the game in this country has been shit for the last two decades. As a result - like you say - we don't have much of a future generation. The current squad is ageing, with little balance, and no future.

This is all a result of the latter days of Soccer Australia and it's complete lack of forward planning. And if that brings you down, just consider that we're six years into the FFA era and we've only just implemented the new coaching system, and it's likely to be another year or two before it actually takes hold - so we've got another decade or so to wait before we see any real improvement.

None of that is down to Pim. And none of it could be changed by having any other manager in place.

Pim DID make mistakes with his tactics, his team-selection, his initial squad selection, etc., but I don't think they would have made much difference.

Your joking right ????? How the hell do you try a new formation and system in a world cup game and it's not going to make a difference???.It's not the game to try new things thats what the a the qualifying games and friendlies for and also to freshen the squad.Anybody in this world can tell you Cahill plays the best in the midfield behind the striker and Garcia and Culina in a place were they dont play thats clueless for me.Yo say no manager could have change anything mate i would bet my life on it Hiddink would so because of his football brain unlike Pim.

I don't think it's a case of defending Pim - more realising that this would have happened with any manager in place. If we had played it tight, avoided the off-side trap, etc., they still would have hammered us because it still would have been Klose vs Neill in the middle, it still would have been Muller ripping Chipperfield apart, it still would have been Valeri and Grella completely unable to keep track of Ozil.

As Cloughie once said, all this talk of tactics is pointless, it's about players - and theirs were far better than ours.

LOL. Lets just choose anybody who has played in the ECL/play regularly. I mean if they play in the ECL, they AUTOMATICALLY become an awesome world beater. Fucking idiot.

Really? Thats funny. I didnt event remotely elude to something that can be measured in terms of intelligence. Maybe you need to take english classes again, clearly you are having trouble with relevance.

I guess next game he will just stand all the players infront of the goal face. and then get the players to carry schwarzer and kennedy above their heads to close the gaps. Maybe we can use holman as cement?

Bresciano been hardly playing and playing average when he has, Kewell too much of a risk against such a good side anyway, and Kennedy is injured apparently so can't blame him for his player choice (from the 23 I'm talking about).

His decision to change the formation to something we've barely played before and play players out of position in our first WC match is however ridiculous.

Me too - but forget the personnel. We played too high a line. We got found out trying it against the US. Why try it against Germany?

Germany still would win - but I doubt it would have been 4 - 0. How many goals and near goals came from springing offside trap?

THats because hes the only option we have who poses any sort of threat (aerial), Kewell is not a natural striker and Mcdonald was left home. Clueless as always. Stick to wrestling or whatever shit is in your display pic.

What i fail to see is why we left all our top players on the bench? Maybe verbeek thought Schwarzer would score. Who knows. What i do know is we have to face the unlikely scenario of winning two games against very tough opponents. VERY UNLIKELY. Verbeek has ruined us. And there is nothing special about our future generation of socceroos. No standout talents.

Germany would have beaten Australia no matter what team was on the pitch or who was coaching.

The result was unfortunate, but that's what happens when a poor squad, stretched to it's limit, meets one of the most consistently effective sides in world football.

Calm down there Seriously. Pim got it wrong, but the fact is that we have a total lack of quality to select from. A poor player pool leaves the coach very few options - and realistically the Germans were going to thump whoever we put out last night.

As for the Scott McDonald comment - the only reason he'll be smiling is that he didn't have to be a part of it.

Yet we didnt play with Bresciano, Kewell and Kennedy?, the two or three players that might have given us a better chance?

Anyway lets look at the bright side. We now have a 10% chance of passing through to the last 16 historically, but we have Verbeek so that probably drops down to zero.

Well its well and truly showed hasn't it? That Pim is an absolute asshat, who has no clue at all. To all the fuckwitts that took the piss when i said that this was going to happen.

We played WITH NO BRESICANO, KEWELL OR KENNEDY from the start all the guys that would of gave us a much better chance to score. Pim played with what 9 defenders? His anti-football just gave him a ram up the arse. Fuck off to Morocco, the sooner the better. This world cup is a disaster.

Fuck pim, and like i said, we are done for this world cup.

How many times did i say, we are going to get ripped apart by a team that is anything resembling decent. Guus was not stupid. So perhaps next time stick to ur shitty A-league and leave high level football to people that have a clue, instead of ranting off at me. Bunch of daft cunts.
