I think he is referring to his career as a whole when saying that his performance against Ghana is "irrespective". But Chippers has come a long way from being a Woollongong bus driver. I really hope he gets a coaching gig at Basel, as that can only benefit our national set up somewhere down the line.
But, please Chippers, keep your mind on the task at hand.

Chipperfield has always been the most loyal to the socceroos out of the entire squad. If he wants to announce his retirement plans now, I think he deserves it.

Well done on the great career. Hopefully you'll one day coach the socceroos and lift our home-grown coaching stock, we really need it.

i would be more then happy if he is droped tomorow night and replaced by carney, carney can offer more in attack which is what we need to do
