Valiant effort from the boys. Standing up in the face of adversity and every player stepped up. Just a shame we didn't get all 3 points. But very proud to say I'm Australian right now. =d> =d> =d> =d> =d>

Very proud of the players tonight. Too bad it was 10 on 12.

I'm also proud. We played very well with just 10 men.

Makes you want to cry that does. Sensational effort, "Australian spirit" is a cliche, but here you can't deny it's appropriate. Played absolutely out of our skins. It was definitely our best performance under Verbeek.

Very proud. Now I'm hoping we get some luck and make it out of the group.

Top performance, best show of guts and determination under Verbeek. Hopefully it carries onto the next match, no passengers at all tonight.

I agree- Well done boys! That's what Football should be about!
I'm also 100% behind Harry Kewell, I seriously feel for him. What happened tonight was in no way his fault. Poor Harry he finally gets back from injury only to have his WC chance taken away from him by a dodgy call. Let's all stand behind Harry!

great performance by the lads, very proud of them all. and credit also to verbeek, picked a strong line-up and made good substitutions at good times.
if we play like that against serbia, i don't care if we don't go through. the boys will have done themselves and their country incredibly proud.

Forget the result, the ref and all the drama...after that performance I'm proud of the boys, proud to be Australian...Pim if only we'd played like that for the last three years!

Great stuff from the boys. Moore played probably his last game tonight and can go out with his head held high, Luke Wilkshire again very good and Valeri was my pick of the 2 defensive midfielders. Look forward to the Serbian game, can and will win.

=d> Coming from someone like Fozzy that meant a lot. If not for the ref I think we would have killed them.

I honestly believe we would've won 3-0 had Kewell incident not happened.

I hope all those attacking the coach, the team, and all who hate Holman took a good look at that match.
Holman and the boys absolutely busted a gut there, we played with passion and spirit, and we answered the critics. Pim made all the right calls, and we so very nearly could have snatched that 2-1. This is the kind of result that makes you glad you keep the faith.

Holman scored yes and credit to him for that but beside the goal he was hopeless. How many times did he give the ball away. I'd give him a 6/10.

Indeed.
I was, literally, applauding the performance of the boys every now and again, through that match. It was mighty, truly valiant.
And those Ghanians, damn, I forgot all about that friendly, and this was ONLY Ghana after all - And here I was worried, they'd be soo confident - And indeed Ayew was a threat on the rare occasion and unfortunately on one of those, he created that scenario which saw the red and penalty against us.
But damn, the showed them a masterclass of courage tonight. We, quite simply, outplayed them. Our 10 men outplayed them. Awesome.
