Fair play to the guy. He has copped some serious shit over the past two years, takes it on the chin goes to the world cup and is probably our best player and scores two goals.
Nice work Brett look forward to seeing you in Aussie shirt again.

My humble pie tasted a bit bitter this morning. Highest goal scorer in the 2010 campaign. Kudos to the Goalman. Live long and prosper.

In my opinion, Holman does add something to the team, he buzzes around at high speed, tackles & harasses the opposition. He has obviously grown in confidence & now is getting his shots on target. Holman is not very good at completing his passes to team mates but as long as her concentrates on putting the ball in their net, then who cares.

I'll eat some humble pie also. Imagine how good he'd be though if he knew how to pass.

Any bets on which EPL club the Holmaldinho will join now? I see an EPL move for him in the next year or so.

Good to see everyone backing him now. Always deserved more credit. Who knows he might get a move. But I watch the Dutch league a lot and he is a top player there and seems happy. Good to see Australian names in the transfer market. Well done Holman

Always been a massive fan of the lad, through good times and bad.
WELL DONE, BRETT!!
Waiting for those who slagged Brett Holman off for 3 or so years -
Line up and apologise.
Do so if you've got any balls. Or don't, if you're Heineken.

His pace and movement are best suited to winning promotion from the english championship. Can't see him being a success in the EPL, he'll get taken out by the likes of Mascherano or Essien.

Yeah, two goals at a World Cup can't be sneezed at. And I am pleased to say I was on the record on this site as having stuck up for him before the World Cup.
Holman, Valeri and Beachamp is a good grouping of young players with World Cup experience to build our 2014 qualification campaign around.

At 25 and 26 respectively, Valeri and Holman don't exactly constitute 'young'. Even if they are mads to look so by the likes of Moore and Chipperfield.

But they would be 'young' senior players at the next WC, should we get there. This is especially so compared to our much older senior players this time around.

the guy has copped the flack, but he turned it on in the cup. he now has to continue this form. i think hes played better when we attacked and not our defensive shit.

Worth noting that Holman probably won't be as nimble as he was this time, and his technical ability alone won't be enough to get him to another WC.
