SOCCEROO Harry Kewell has revealed he's ashamed that Australia couldn't go beyond the group stage in South Africa after bowing out early in the 2010 World Cup.

I agree Joffa, and it is another example of being too conservatise. We should have thrown Harry and the kitchen sink at the Germans. This is the Australian way and I hope our next coach has learnt a lesson from this.

I am ashamed we had a coach that could fuck up our best chance yet!

I hope these injustices help to spur the future generations on and keep them really angry at our treatment at this tournament.

After qualifying Fozz said we needed someone to take over from Pim because he will screw up. Most people thought Fozz was crazy but what happened Pim screwed up.

He would be gutted, no doubt he pushed hard to be fit for it. He needed to be there against Germany. . . but so did a decent game plan and (I'm borrowing this from Les and Fozz, like many others will) a positive approach.

25mins from him in a WC! Things would have been different if he played 270mins. . . should I say, could have played that amount of time.

Hopefully someone will stand up the next 4 years and take his role in the team. Hopefully that player will have less injury issues along the way.

Considering we got a point agianst the 2 qualifying teams, with basically 10 men the whole time... and then beat the fancied Serbians... I think the boys should be proud. So close to qualification even under almost impossible handicaps. It only could have been worse if Schwarzer was carded during the Serbia match. The boys should be proud that even though they were only let off the leash for the last 45 they managed to score more goals than France, England, or Chile. Harry did his best and did not get a chance to shine and has nothing to be ashamed of. He was trying to save a goal with his chest and there is no shame in that.

I don't think Pim screwed up. He made the right tactical decisions for each moment except for playing Tim and Garcia as 2 upfront against Germany when he should have started parking the bus (and please don't criticise the next coach if he plays counterattack against a strong attacking team like Germany or Korea!). After we went down to 10 against Ghana and Germany few good coaches would have played with more strikers. Most would prefer to limit the damage and go on the attack in the next game. If Ghana and Germany had tried for a win at any stage after we scored in the final match we might be in the last 16. And if we'd had all our first 11 on the pitch at any time we could well have topped the group. It's not Pim's fault that Jesus failed to shine and Wilkshire missed that one chance to chip the Ghana keeper that would have qualified us!

MvFCArsenal, HELLO?!?!? He only played 20 minutes as it was! And in that 20 minutes, as unlucky as it was, he managed to get sent off AND concede a penalty.

Everyone stop blaming everyone but the players, why is it never their fault, stop blaming the ref the coach just say we were beaten by a better side one that hit 4 past an England side full of premier league players whilst we had players training with Brisbane, or playing left right out in their lower league clubs. Yeah Carle couldn't get a game for palace but he was the man to take on Germany??? I think not.

I don't think Carle was the man to take to Germany and I agree that Germany were a better side then us on the day. However the tactics we took out to Germany said "we are going to loss anyway lets try and minimise the problem".

What we should of done is play our game instead of getting scared of the opposition and allowed some go forward.

In football sometimes attack and pressure plays a defensive duty to a team making the the opposition think twice about all going forward.

Because we had nothing up front....they went all forward and their technical ability to play around our guys hammered us.

Thats what pissed me off.
