I think it's Adidas that has a system that involves sensors in the ball as well as around the goal. The ref has a watch that signals whether the ball has completely crossed the line, so there is no need to stop the game the ref just glances at his watch. That would be the only system I would support I'd hate to see the game stopped to check and recheck replays and then it turns out inconclusive.

Blatter appologising is a mistake. You can't appologise to england for one mistake, but just pretend like every other fucking retarded decision the referees made didn't happen.
It's not like you can go "Australia and Mexico being screwed don't matter as much because they're more minor nations".

you're not really sorry are you Sepp, i think you're worried you've been wrong all along with your stance on using technology, worried about taking the romance out of the game, you sir are a fool and need to be seen as one

For the highest domestic and international matches have 6 linesmen, one in each corner like tennis and the two traditional ones.

Quote:Germany's 'keeper Manuel Neuer: I fooled the referee into disallowing Frank Lampard's goal for England at World Cup 2010 It's all about the body language... By Zack Wilson 29 Jun 2010 10:58:00 Schalke 04 goalkeeper Manuel Neuer has admitted that there was an element of gamesmanship involved in the way the referee disallowed Frank Lampard's strike for England against Germany on Sunday. Lampard crashed a shot onto the underside of the bar, with the ball then bouncing over the goal-line. Neuer feels that the way he, as Germany goalkeeper, reacted helped to sway the match officials into ruling out the strike. "I tried not to react to the referee and just concentrate on what was happening," he told reporters. "I realised it was over the line and I think the way I carried on so quickly fooled the referee into thinking it was not over." Neuer also has no qualms about admitting that the ball was a good distance over the goal-line. "Then I saw it on the television in the doping control office and saw what actually happened," he added. "And, yes, it was over. It should have been a goal for England. Probably about two metres." http://www.goal.com/en-gb/news/2890/world-cup-2010/2010/06/29/2000981/germanys-keeper-manuel-neuer-i-fooled-the-referee-into

Try extra officials behind the goal first before you bring in video technology.
Had there been an extra official, Lampard's goal would of stood.
As for the Mexicans, well that happens a lot even in general play so thats tough luck. Their defence was all over the place to begin with for the Tevez goal.

He's gonna have to start handing out apologies like Kevin Rudd to the Aborigines. There's a lot Sepp has to answer for, and quite frankly, i'm standing with Aussie Guus demanding he stand down!!!
WOLLONGONG WOLVES FOR A-LEAGUE EXPANSION!

Any chance of an apology for Australia after Tim Cahill's red card in the opening round Sepp? Certainly was a definitive moment in our World Cup campaign... What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Blatter Apologises Over Lampard 'Goal'? FIFA president Sepp Blatter today said he had apologised to the Football Association over Frank Lampard's disallowed 'goal' and revealed the governing body would look again at goal-line technology.Have your say.
