Nice to see Clayton Zane back in our game.... Not sure if he was around previously or not?
.....
So we are a couple of days out from kick-off and still no word on this supermega world stopping front-of-shirt HSG sponsor yet ey?

Quote: Ankle injury has Jesic in doubt for Jets opener BY JOSH LEESON 07 Oct, 2011 01:00 AM JETS attacking midfielder Marko Jesic is in danger of missing tomorrow's A-League season-opener against Melbourne Heart after his sprained ankle continued to cause him discomfort at yesterday's training session. For the first time this season the Jets had the opportunity to train at Ausgrid Stadium in a closed session. Jesic and striker Jeremy Brockie are the Jets' only injury concerns heading into the match. Both completed yesterday's session, but Jets caretaker coach Craig Deans was not confident in Jesic's fitness. "I've just spoke to the physio and he's said just wait and see how they pull up in the morning," Deans said last night. "Marko is probably not as good as we expected, so he's probably in a little bit of doubt. "Brocks was happy with himself and so were the physios so we're just going to wait and see how he is before training tomorrow." Jesic, who is traditionally a striker, has been re-invented as a No.10 during the pre-season as cover for the injured and unwanted marquee Jason Culina. Deans said Iraqi Ali Abbas would play behind the striker in a 4-2-3-1 formation if Jesic is ruled out today. While Brockie is recovering well from his quadriceps injury, Deans is unlikely to risk starting the Kiwi international and will opt to play him off the bench. That would leave Labinot Haliti and Chris Payne to fight for the striker position. "It's the first game so I don't want to risk a couple of players with doing a longer-term injury," Deans said. "So we've got to be sensible." The game against the Heart is expected to be Deans's first and only opportunity to show his wares in the head coach's role. Speculation is rife that the Jets will hire a successor for the sacked Branko Culina before next weekend's away trip to Wellington to face the Phoenix. The Jets youth team mentor said he had no plans to stamp his own philosophies on the team during his short tenure. "We won't change too much as it's too short a time span to make drastic changes," he said. "We might make a few little tweaks here and there just to fine-tune things. "The boys are well drilled over the last six months and I don't want to do anything to the disrupt the harmony they've put in." Meanwhile, the Jets will finally launch their new red and blue-striped playing kit today with their new major sponsor. not a moment to soon, cant wait! +1!! Also I don't think they should risk Jesic & Brockie tomorrow, we need to be sensible and let their injuries recover fully.

I just hope it's Gold!
As I'm against the colours and design I couldn't give a rats left Nut. Vertical Stripes are so common we're just going to be one in a crowd. the fact that it's completely ripping off Barca and Gordie FC makes me blush with embaracement.

THE HEART WILL COME! THE HEART WILL CONQUER.
Don't quote me on this; I'm actually none too confident. Jets are a surprise horse, imho.

So, I've been meaning to ask - how do you Jets fans feel about having blue and yellow on your new jerseys? ;)

The yellow is just the cartoony mockup they've done, because they're idiots.

1. I love the red and blue, because they are actual colours of SOME past newy football teams 2. NJ Facebook said some of the players are wearing the strip at their training

I like the look of what's on the Jet's online store for the new strip, hopefully it's even better irl. I was opposed to them changing the colours without even engaging the fans about what they thought about it, but I love the club and just because they made a dodgey call doesn't mean I'm gonna sook and refuse to wear the new colours. I've had almost a year to get over the colour change and that's long enough to get passed it.

Way too much like Knights. Tinks out

I really don't care. We have a sponsor, the shirt hasn't been demolished by its logo. Win win in my books.

I guess by the look of the logo and the Hyundai sleeve logo the numbers on the back are going to be white?
Not bad. It is a Newcastle red and blue, not Barcelona's interpretation.
Some A-League kits didn't look all that good on grass but improved when worn by players...wait and see at the game tomorrow.
