some good moves from the Reds already! What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Tony Vidmar Signing with AUFC [RUMOUR]? Have your say.

Yeah, he gets beaten to every ball, he is always a step behind his opponent. He's just too old, but I think he would make a good defensive coach.

GOOD SIGNING????!!!!
Have you not seen Vidmar play this season? He's been woeful. Both his sending off's have been due to has horrible lack of pace. When you throw in Valakanis and Costanzo, that is a recipe for disaster. Quick one-two or ball over the top and they are dead. Imagien Archie, Brosque, Griffiths or Nikita running at them....

I was thinking just that as I was reading this. Cornthwaite, Costanzo, Valkanis and Vidmar. And, everyone's linking Ognenovski to a move to United, does make an intimidating defensive unit, but they lack a lot of speed. Throw a bit of ball movement in there and I don't think many would be that intimidated.

maybe he will play a role in left midfield. any thoughts? Cassio's a left back, or left wing-back. Vidmar's normally a centre half.

good move for vidmar, not for adelaide though, hes not getting any younger and hes been caught out a few times this year resulting in reddies.

No chance. I thaught he was quite awful this season maybe he should be looking for a coaching role definetly not the player he used to be,

After this season’s performance I don’t think that we can make any assumptions about Adelaide’s defensive line up for next year.
I’m going out on a limb here and predicting that there will be few familiar faces at full back for the Reds next season.
Costanzo will be picked up by Galaxy (if granted inclusion), Valkanis will not make it back, Cassio will move to defensive midfield role, Cornflakes will have to fight for a regular spot.
The AUFC board have already made their intentions clear; they want the best defensive line-up in the league and they will happily poach from any team in the league and outside it to get there.
But if older brother wants his team to play the same attacking style as last season he’s going to need speed and experience for the counter attacks and Tony only has the later.

Adelaide can sign Ljubo if they want.
Vidmar should've retired a while ago. In fact, he could and should retire at the end of CCM's finals campaign.
