How fast our youth grows up today. There has been recent articles linking Kruse to Twenty so this is no big suprise. There was also intrest in Zullo but his form since injury must have cooled interest.

What do you think about the FourFourTwo article Kruse & McKay off to Holland? [RUMOUR]?

Have your say.

Both players are contracted to the Roar for another season but if the price is right then the club may well take the bait.

As I have said in a previous post, unless it's a club like Twente, Utrecht, Heerenveen or the big 4, don't bother. There is a big gap between the 'better' clubs and the rest of the crop. Going to a club like Heracles, Nijmegen or VVV Venlo is a complete waste of time and you'd be better off staying here until you do get an offer from a decent club.

Who starting to feel a little pillaged?
I hope it won’t be too long before the A-league has enough funds, quality and prestige to keep local talent a bit longer.
Not much exposure of the Eredivisie in this country and the next generation need to see and be inspired by these up and coming stars to make a connection to their own potential.
If they go they will certainly be missed.

Its also the challenge of Europe, not just money, that attracts players. Its a good thing for our league that our players are becoming well regarded straight from the A-league. Not so long ago, our young guys would have had to head O/S even earlier.

Surley Roar can get more than $100k for kruse, if it happens i hope the player is swapped with a forward who can score.

I'd be hoping for at least 400k euros, but meh, he's pure potential, not surprising.

If he left it'd free up a starting spot for Tahj so it wouldn't be all bad if he left. Fenehia's ready to sign with us next season anyway so I think we'd be covered if he did go to Holland.
As for Matty, he'd be a big loss. He's the heart beat of the team, I'd hate to lose him.

Does anyone else find it funny that Kruse was kept in the wings by Miron, only to be drafted to cover injury late in season two. Now he is an international prospect?
Slightly off topic, what happened to Mitch Nicholes? This guy shows up out of no where, takes a spot first in Roar, then in the Young Socceroos, scores 5 goals for the roos in asia, and now is hardly used.

I hope they don't leave. They might only be two players but are a big part of the Roar. You rock Robbie.

they should take any offers in the dutch league as its a healthy standard but decline offers from other lower standard leagues.

They would be big losses if they leave. I hope they dont leave, its probably an inevitability in the future, but not right now. We need them. We just had a fantastic season and we have lost a few players as well. We need to build on the performance from last season and to lose some players especially the like of kruse and mckay would be very bad to the development of the team. If you have too many new players in one team at one go its disrupts momentum and the chance to build from last season. I dont want a melbourne vistory happening to the roar. I hoep they stay, but its been looking more and more likely to happen that they go, and if they do go, hopefulyl we can get something significant from it and good replacements.

$160,000 Australian? I can't imagine that being to much more than what he's on now.

I couldn't be bothered rolling through, I'm not sure if anyone has said anything about this, but my mate at Indoor is good mate's with Kruse, and he went over to his house a couple of days ago, and he's definantly at F.C. Twente trialling. So, if this is old news, don't worry about reading it, but yeah, I thought it was semi-interesting. :p

If it's a good development club, he should go if given the chance. Regardless of him getting gametime or not, he will learn so much. If things go well, he could get some games and follow in the steps of Culina. If not, he can come back to the A-League at 21 as much better player technically and then have another crack at Europe, but have a focus on getting gametime that time round.
