15 pages is nothing when you get to uni and you have a cheat-sheet. Biggest surprise on the first day of uni - lecturer tells you about the exam "you are permitted ONLY two written A4 pages of notes for the essay/exam" and you're sitting there  "only?"

Haha. 15 pages would have EASY if I could walk in there with all the quotes. I could have taken the whole texts in! Actually that sounds really good, cause I always get "Good basis for an argument, not enough textual knowledge/evidence" written on my papers... Obviously expecting a bit more than what I do in the HSC though

My typing skills have improved drastically since we got laptops though. ANd my overall computer skills. Whose gonna be handwriting in 10 years anyway? Its not the fucking 90's!

Umm, everyone will still be handwriting. Its essential. You can't avoid writing. Your all going to have to able to write fairly legible if you want to finish Year 12. You can't use computers in Exams. Computers were around in the 90s too...

Our older members can elaborate on that. I still remember the joy I got out of seeing a colour scanner and colour printer for the first time back in like 96. :P Quote:Handwriting will be phased out at some point. IMO. Why not?
Don't think the world will be like the movies in 10 or 20 years mk. Maybe in 100 years we won't need handwriting. Edited by martyB: 20/10/2008 01:47:18 PM

mk0825 wrote:Handwriting will be phased out at some point. IMO. Why not? I guess potentially one day you could get away with not handwriting. Essentially, it will always be around. I can't see it being like horseback transport or something... It would also depend on your occupation, etc.

My handwriting is shocking too. Always has been. Came across some like year 4 books and can barely tell the difference
I cant wait till like you can speak and the computer recognizes what you say and types it out Or is there such a thing already?

You are so far behind the times... Oakley have already come out with sunglasses with a HUD interface that will type out what you are thinking.
