Worst beer I've tasted has to be Carona's. Literally felt the urge to vomit straight away, absolutely disgusting.

It's pretty much alcoholic water! You can't go wrong with Corona/Sol/XXXX Summer lager.


Agree with Heine, beer is great. Within a year, you blokes (you're both 19 yeah?) will enjoy it.

Corona's are a corn adjunct beer, and they're fucking sweet. Ice-Cold, they're drinkable but you gotta drink 'em fast. The moment they start to warm up, they become nasty, even when you stick a wedge of lime down it's neck. Because they're in clear bottles, they skunk too. So when you buy 'em, if you're getting a 6-pack get one from the back of the fridge, or buy a carton so they haven't been light affected.

If somebody has bought me 3 longnecks of VB for my birthday I'd have glassed them over the head with them.

I can't stand the taste of beer either.

I can't stand VB or Tooheys New both give me a headache on the night and a vomit in the morning even if I only have one or two. Similarly any alcohol in a can.

Having visited Mexico the last 3yrs and just returned Thursday FYI Corona is their cats piss, just as our BS Fosters its the OS markerted brand you hardly see locals drinking the crap only foreigners.
Modelo Especial and Dos Equix is a 1000times better tasting Mex beers.

:lol: Well aware Corona is their equivalent to Aussie VB. That's why I cringe when people claim it's the worlds greatest beer. And it's overpriced ridiculously. Pying >$50 a carton, there's better Aussie beers that are cheaper.

It's sorta like people who go around claiming that Heineken is the Netherlands best beer - it's no where near that! :lol:

I'm personally starting to move away from your Australian/American adjunct lagers and I'm drinking a lot more crafty-style pale ales. My top 3 beers at the moment would have to be probably Coopers Pale (Don't mind their Sparkling Ale if I can find it on tap), Fat Yak Pale Ale, and Little Creatures. I've heard plenty of good things about Sierra Nevada Pale Ale too, and my bottleshop is not stocking it, so I'll pick up a 6er soon!

If you've got the right supplier you should be wholesaling Coronas for about 70c/bottle.

Corona and XXXX summer lager was how I broke my mate not beer (he hated it), so I can never hate them.

People who only drink Corona's and other Mexican Cervezas are the beers you drink, when you don't drink beer. Because they're virtually almost tasteless.

That said, Ice-Cold Corona's after a day at the beach do go down a right treat.

One of my old bosses said it best when he said "Corona make a great bottled water".

When you find out that it costs them about 8c/bottle to make (the production cost of a VB bottle is about 80c) it makes a lot of sense that it's so shit :lol:

Pub in town that does their own brews has some good stuff on tap. I tried their Czech-style Pilsner, good beer.

Agreed, I've grown rather fond of it lately actually.

I can't stand Corona's tbh, would much rather Aussie beers like VB, Draught, TED's etc.

Might be needing to get incredibly intoxicated to watch the return leg of the All Whites.

Given a choice most people are going to take a pint of draught and get twice as much booze or a bottle of draught and pay $7-8 instead of $10 for a corona.
