I'll make a transfer offer for you before you do, General - how about Eugene Galekovic and one dollar for Mark Schwarzer? You know it's a great deal. ;)

So I am handing back my license. Fair enough, what we'll do is we'll open up that place to another user. His players will stay with the team and hopefully another forum member can step up and fill the void. Edited by afromanGT: 2/9/2010 02:56:34 PM

It will be a list of 50 names. And it will be a little more complicated.
Basically, if you don't bid on a marquee, you don't get to be in the top flight. If enough teams don't bid on a marquee, teams will get a second pick. So it's in your best interests so get involved in the marquee draft or face getting left behind the pack and in the second division.

Well, I've got work on all weekend, so I won't be able to do much for it. I'd like to set the deadline for Sunday midnight. If people get their picks in before then and I can do it before then, I will.

Dutch draft. Marquees will open once I post the results of the dutch draft and we'll worry about a deadline then.
Im considering making the marquees first-come, first-served.

If it's two rounds I need 48 quality players...which I do. But it also means that there's more talent available than I intended. I was only planning on having a second round for those who got their bids in for the first round.
But two rounds may be the way to go and those who don't get their bids in will be in the second division.

Happy with Yakin, alot cheaper wages than most other veterens, hopefully giving me a slight financial edge.
MNCM
------Kameni------ -Cicinho-Mathijsen-Moore-Tremoulinas -Yakin-Delph-Valeri-Rose ----Chopra--Ruiz---
Bench Aloisi
Going for a stronger centre back and another CM. Quite happy with how its shaped up so far though

So Van Persie, Van Der Vaart, Sneijder and Robben are off limits. Who has been snapped up so far?

So far, Heitinga and Marcellis have been taken. Quote:Happy with Yakin, alot cheaper wages than most other veterens, hopefully giving me a slight financial edge. More like the first three selections you made were only 32. But points for trying. Congratulations to 11.mvfc.11 who has become the new chairman of Melbourne AFC, His A-League licence will be taking the place of the inactive bloodbore8 and his club South Sydney Arsenal.

Hey afro, how many players are we going to get in the draft total? Are we going to fill out a 23/25 man squad with draftees, or is there going to be autofilling after this round and the marquees?

Good stuff mvfc! Hope you can get some good picks and make the team feel your own, but don't worry, pretty sure we'll have a transfers/trade round at the end anyway! A few more European country rounds would be good, maybe try and get like 15, 16 of our own players than autofill the rest from the A League and League One

I reckon a few rounds from leagues like Belgium, Turkey, Greece, possibly even a Champo/Serie B/Segunda Liga/Zweite Bundesliga... Who knows? I'm not sure how difficult it is to set up the more rounds we have.

I couldn't name 10 good players from CONCACAF, but I did my research, and it was fun.

dutch... then the two marquees then autofill with a-league players.... it takes too long to take another 4-5 drafts after the ones already announced

I wouldn't mind having a transfer round that lasts only 2 days or so, and each team gets say "20 million pounds", and has to bid on 2-3 players from a certain list of players, and whoever has the highest bid wins them. Kinda like benjamin's EPL fantasy thread, except an extremely short version.
That way not everything is down to the draft order, and allows for a bit more freedom with 2-3 players more.
