It will be a list of 50 names. And it will be a little more complicated.

Basically, if you don't bid on a marquee, you don't get to be in the top flight. If enough teams don't bid on a marquee, teams will get a second pick. So it's in your best interests so get involved in the marquee draft or face getting left behind the pack and in the second division.

can we NOT have any deadlines for the weekend? as i know people work and go out etc and no EPL on this weekend so no excuse to be home,

Well, I've got work on all weekend, so I won't be able to do much for it. I'd like to set the deadline for Sunday midnight. If people get their picks in before then and I can do it before then, I will.

Dutch draft. Marquees will open once I post the results of the dutch draft and we'll worry about a deadline then.

Im considering making the marquees first-come, first-served.

If it's two rounds I need 48 quality players...which I do. But it also means that there's more talent available than I intended. I was only planning on having a second round for those who got their bids in for the first round.

But two rounds may be the way to go and those who don't get their bids in will be in the second division.

Hey afro, how many players are we going to get in the draft total? Are we going to fill out a 23/25 man squad with draftees, or is there going to be autofilling after this round and the marquees?

Good stuff mvfc! Hope you can get some good picks and make the team feel your own, but don't worry, pretty sure we'll have a transfers/trade round at the end anyway!

maybe seeing how we have 12 players already and its takin this long maybe it woudlnt be worth drafting another 11/13 players, maybe just a few more rounds and then just auto fill

so we will start to find out who we got monday?

A few more European country rounds would be good, maybe try and get like 15, 16 of our own players than autofill the rest from the A League and League One

I reckon a few rounds from leagues like Belgium, Turkey, Greece, possibly even a Champo/Serie B/Segunda Liga/Zweite Bundesliga... Who knows? I'm not sure how difficult it is to set up the more rounds we have.

can people name 20 odd decent players from serie b? etc etc which is what we need for the whole draft round,

I couldn't name 10 good players from CONCACAF, but I did my research, and it was fun.

dutch... then the two marquees then autofill with a-league players.... it takes too long to take another 4-5 drafts after the ones already announced

I wouldn't mind having a transfer round that lasts only 2 days or so, and each team gets say "20 million pounds", and has to bid on 2-3 players from a certain list of players, and whoever has the highest bid wins them. Kinda like benjamin's EPL fantasy thread, except an extremely short version.

That way not everything is down to the draft order, and allows for a bit more freedom with 2-3 players more.
