Right now I've got Athletic in the second division mostly because they're not as good, but it's up to you.

Aren't they? The backline is insane - Subotic-Breno-Sakho-Maxwell - and you've got Vucinic, Lavezzi and Totti up front, and a handy and balanced midfield.... the only weakness is in goal I feel.
Hmmmmm....

They don't have a designated RB and they lack a coherent keeper.

So it doesn't make any difference. boooo don't bring in Sydney... we've already got 3 or 4 Sydney clubs... you'd be better off with Adelaide because our only other Adelaide team is inactive

ok, so I've put together the sides for Sydney Rovers, Melbourne Revolution, South Coast FC, Perth Rangers, Brisbane Roar, Tasmania United and Marconi Stallions tonight.
I'm still waiting on The Doctor to decide which player from the draft he's going to release and I'll hopefully finish up the teams over the weekend bit-by-bit and we'll have the game up and running by Monday or Tuesday.

You went over budget in that last bit so you need to release one of your four players you got from the draft thing.

Quote:9. Should you run over budget you will have to return said player to the pool and be deducted 1 point from the start of season table for each million dollars you are over. So no Man City-ing each other! do i not get a points penalty because i didn't spend over a million, $800,000

Half a dozen people have 'called shotgun' on him. Which I'm not allowing. I can either auction him off, or give him to the Nux. What do you guys reckon?

Mid North Coast Magic today embarked on their first ever game as a Hyundai A-League Franchisee. Magic hosted Serie B team Siena at Port Macquarie Regional Stadium.
The game started with a bang with world renowned striker Goran Pandev finding the net in the 4th minute, after good build up play from Denilson and Estaban Granero. Again it was Pandev who found the net 20 minutes later, this time controlling a cross from Jiminez with his chest, before turning his marker and slotting it in the bottom corner against a hapless Curci.
After this the game settled into a regular rythem, with Magic midfielders De Jong, Denilson and Granero totally outclassing their opponents. This was combined with penetrating runs from wingbacks Cicinho and Beniot Tremoulinas.
The second half started in the same regular tempo, with Magic dominating the play. Siena's most dangerous player was forward Reginaldo, yet the slight threat posed was quickly counteracted by Per Mertsaker, who was the second best on ground after Pandev.
Late in the game Alberto Bueno had two great chances to put the game beyond all doubt, yet good goalkeeping denied the threat posed. His pace and first touch had the Siena defenders uncertain all game.
In the 89th minute Reginaldo grabbed a late goal, to provide a few nervous minutes for Magic, however they were good enough to deal with it and hold on for a 2-1 win.
Final Score MNCM 2 (Pandev 1, 24)-1 Siena (Reginaldo 89) MOTM- Goran Pandev Crowd- 35000 Edited by manufan4life: 30/9/2010 06:15:31 PM

and the town was then robbed with 35,000 at the game and with the other 4,000 of the population of Port Macquarie stealing and causing damage to vacant shops and homes http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Port_Macquarie,_New_South_Wales

But the beauty of having Port Macquarie as the location is that people from up and down the coast can get their in a hour or two. So we'll say the other 10,000 were causing the damage, most of those were from Kempsey :D

A week after the Magic's success in their opening outing they were on the pitch again, this time to Mexican side Monarcas Moreilla. The game was played in front of a packed Mexican crowd.
The game started with a bang after 5 minutes, with Monarcas defender Salazar being sent off due to a brutal tackle on Michael Chopra. The impending free kick outside the area amounted to nothing due to a break down in communication between players.
It was the home team who would break the deadlock in the 18th minute with striker Hernandez getting into the box before slotting home against helpless Roman Weidenfeller.
Magic were soon to respond through the dangerous Michael Chopra who punished Monarcas for a lack of communication within the 18 yard box. Chopra was continually dangerous throughout the first half, with only fine reflex saves from keeper Munoz preventing him from scoring a few goals.
Just before halftime Alberto Bueno pounced on a loose ball in the attacking half before beating two defenders and the keeper to score a a great individual goal, taking the score to 2-1 in favour of the visitors.
The score remained 2-1 at the end of the first half, with the extra man paying dividends for the Magic who had a whopping 74% possession.
Magic attacking midfielder Luis Jiminez came close to doubling the visitors lead mid way through the second half, after recieving a through ball from Fabian Delph he beat 2 defenders and the goalie but couldn't beat the post, with the ricochet bouncing straight to a defender.
Monarcas stiker Hernandez continually provided a threat with his mobility, something which will provide a worrying sign for coach Van Basten, with both Mertsaker and Mathijsen underperforming.
Keeper Munoz played the game of his life, recieving man of the match honours despite being on the losing team, Magic had a staggering 24 shots on goal, something which will provide added concern for Van Basten.
The second half fizzled out into a boreathon, leaving the crowd unhappy after the action pack first half. The game finished 2-1 in favour of Mid North Coast Magic, and meant they had now won two games out of two.
Final Score- MNCM 2(Chopra 31, Bueno 44)- 1 Monarcas ( Hernandez 18) MOTM- Munoz Crowd- 28,000 Edited by manufan4life: 30/9/2010 07:14:56 PM
